Kathy Hochul’s pander to Zohran Mamdani and his socialists is beyond pathetic

New York Governor Kathy Hochul's appearance at Zohran Mamdani's rally has raised eyebrows among her Democratic allies, with many taking to social media to express their discontent. The governor's decision to take the stage alongside socialist icon Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and Sen. Bernie Sanders, two figures known for their progressive stances, seemed like a calculated move aimed at bolstering her own credibility within the party.

However, things took a turn for the worse when the crowd reacted with boos, jeers, and chants of "Tax the rich," leaving Hochul to grin and bear it. In an attempt to downplay the incident, she joked that the audience was shouting "Let's Go Bills" - a tactic that seemed forced and insincere.

When asked about the rally on Monday, Hochul claimed she wanted to harness the energy from the event to build unity among Democrats. Yet, it remains to be seen whether this message will resonate with her party members, who are increasingly wary of her ties to Mamdani's socialist agenda.

The fact that Mamdani has yet to endorse Hochul for re-election is telling - a sign that he expects her to do his bidding in order to secure the state's backing. His endorsement would carry significant weight, and Hochul's failure to secure it may spell trouble in the November election.

It appears that Hochul's decision to align herself with Mamdani has alienated many of her own party members, who are more likely to support a candidate who shares their centrist views. As she navigates the complex web of Democratic politics, one thing is clear: her stance on Mamdani's agenda may prove disastrous for her chances in next year's primary.

For Hochul, the rally serves as a stark reminder that her party's base is growing increasingly restless. Rather than embracing progressive ideals, many Democrats are seeking a more moderate voice - and Hochul's actions suggest she may be losing touch with this faction. It remains to be seen whether she can recover from this public relations debacle and reassert herself within the party.

I'm still trying to figure out what happened at that rally 🤔. I mean, I know AOC and Bernie are known for their progressive stances, but you'd think they'd have Hochul's back. But now she's stuck with this socialist vibe, and it's like she's trying to fit in or something 🙅‍♀️. Newsflash: New York is a swing state, not a socialist haven! 😂 I'm guessing her party members are just worried about losing the general election if they get too far left. Can't say I blame 'em. I think Hochul needs to take a step back and figure out who she really is as a politician, you know? 🤷‍♀️ Maybe ditch the socialist agenda and focus on being a unifying force for the party instead of alienating half of them 😬

😒 what's up with Kathy Hochul tho? She thinks taking the stage with AOC & Bernie is gonna make her look all progressive & cool, but really it just comes off as desperate 🤦‍♀️. Newsflash: if you're not on the same page as the party's base, you're gonna get booed outta there 💥. And let's be real, that "Let's Go Bills" joke was straight out of a playbook 😂. I feel like she thinks she can just wing it and it'll all magically work out, but the truth is, her ties to Zohran Mamdani are already causing some major friction within the party 💔. Maybe she should listen to what her own people are saying instead of trying to hitch a ride with a socialist icon 🚶‍♀️.

omg u guys i'm lowkey worried about kathy hochul rn 🤔 she was at that rally and it seemed like she's tryin to be part of the "progressive squad" but honestly idk if it's workin for her lol the crowd was all like "tax the rich" and Hochul just grinded it out like "let's go bills" 🏈😂 i feel her but at the same time it seems like she's tryin to ride the socialist wave without really gettin into it herself idk if that's gonna sit well with dems who are more centrist anyway Hochul needs to figure out where she stands on some of these issues or risk losin the primary 🤦‍♀️🗳️

🙄 I mean, come on, Kathy Hochul thought taking the stage with AOC and Bernie would go unnoticed? Newsflash: it's gonna spark drama no matter what! 🤦‍♀️ Those booing and jeering people were just keeping it real - if you're trying to build unity, don't try to be someone you're not. And btw, "Let's Go Bills" thing was a weak attempt to deflect the awkwardness... didn't work. 😂 The fact that Mamdani hasn't endorsed her yet is telling, and it seems like Hochul's party members are getting increasingly frustrated with her stance on social issues. Maybe she should listen to them instead of trying to fit in with the progressive crowd? 🤷‍♀️ It's all about finding that sweet spot in the middle, you know? And btw, her re-election chances just got a whole lot more interesting... 🚨

idk what's goin on w/ @KathyHochul rn, seems like she's tryna fit in w/ Zohran Mamdani's crew but it's just not workin out... i mean, who chants "Tax the rich" at a politician? 🤷‍♂️ her attempt to downplay it was cringeworthy too 🙄, 'cause yes, let's go bills is def not what u wanna be sayin' when u're tryna connect w/ ur party members... and if Mamdani ain't even endorsed her yet? that's some serious red flag right there 🔴
