Experts say Ed Miliband's £1.1bn for new offshore wind projects not enough

I'm not sure about this £1.1bn budget for offshore wind power... it just seems like a drop in the ocean when you consider how much we need to reduce carbon emissions 🤔. I mean, 20 gigawatts of projects planned is still a long way off from meeting those 2030 targets. And £2 billion was the expected amount, so this budget feels pretty stingy if you ask me 💸. What's the government going to do when the energy bills start rising like crazy? Are they really willing to sacrifice short-term economic gains for the sake of their green electricity dreams? 🌿 I'm not convinced...

the gov's budget is pretty meh 🤔 i mean £1.1bn for offshore wind is a good start but it's like they're not taking it seriously enough... we need at least double that to meet our targets 🚨 and what's with the 'value-for-money' thing? isn't that just corporate speak for 'we'll give you enough money so you don't complain'? 💸 i'd rather see a real commitment to making this happen ASAP ⏰

im not sure why theyre making such a big deal about the budget being only £1.1bn... its still a decent amount of cash for offshore wind 🤔💰 and lets be real, 20gws is a pretty big goal so like, cant they just make some adjustments to get it done? 🤷‍♂️ anyway, i think its great that renewables are finally taking off in the uk - its about time we stopped relying on fossil fuels 🔋🌎
