Tragedy struck in East Sandwich Sunday afternoon when a 3-year-old child was struck and killed by a vehicle. The incident occurred at the Service Road, between the Quaker Meeting House and Chase Road, around 3:30 p.m., according to Cape and Islands District Attorney Robert Galibois.
First responders rushed to the scene where they found an injured 3-year-old child who was subsequently taken to a local hospital. Unfortunately, the child's condition deteriorated, and they succumbed to their injuries.
