My heart goes out to the little one's family... three years old is way too young! I'm glad the driver stayed at the scene and cooperated with the cops, that's a big relief. But, gotta wonder how something like this can happen on a service road with people around. Did they not see the kid? It's just so sad...

. Anyway, did you know that in MA alone, there were 143 fatalities related to pedestrian accidents in 2022? 
And, btw, this area on Cape Cod is super busy, especially during summer 
. I mean, I'm not saying the driver did anything wrong, but... statistics say that distracted driving causes like, 50% of all crashes 
! Anyways, my heart goes out to that family
