I mean, can you believe five years have passed since one of the darkest days in American history? It's wild to think about how far Trump's administration has gone in trying to downplay or even rewrite what happened on that day. Like, come on guys, you can't just rewrite history and expect everyone to forget.

The fact that they're trying to spin it as some kind of "peaceful protest" is just laughable. I mean, I get that people were upset about the election results, but violence? That's not how you express your opinion or disagree with someone.
It's also super disingenuous when they try to shift the blame onto Democrats and claim that the 2020 election was "fraud-ridden".

Like, c'mon guys, we all know that's just a bunch of baseless nonsense. It's frustrating because it feels like they're more interested in clinging to their own ideology than in actually being honest about what happened.
I think it's really sad that the White House is trying to do this, especially when you consider how many lives were lost and how much damage was done to the Capitol building.

It's a betrayal of trust in institutions and it just feels like they're not taking responsibility for their own actions. We need more truth-telling and accountability from our leaders, not less.
