Mmm I just had the craziest dream last night... I was at the beach with my best friend, playing this crazy game of beach volleyball... we were both like 10 years old again and completely obsessed with winning... anyway back to football (or whatever) - I think it's kinda cool that new teams are making a name for themselves in African football I mean who doesn't love an underdog story, right? But at the same time, you're right that it could lead to some teams getting preferential treatment... or maybe not my point is, can't we just enjoy the game for what it is and stop overthinking it?
I'm loving how unpredictable this Africa Cup of Nations is shaping up! It's awesome that we're seeing some new teams pop up and cause a stir. The fact that Algeria snuck into the quarter finals on penalties is just insane, I mean who needs goals when you've got clutch penalty takers? And Ivory Coast absolutely destroyed Burkina Faso, they looked so solid as a team.
I think it's awesome that this could be a great opportunity for some new teams to prove themselves and bring in some fresh excitement to the tournament. It's not like we're gonna get tired of seeing the same old powerhouses dominate every year . But at the same time, I don't want to see it all become too predictable either... maybe we'll just have to wait and see how it plays out?
just watched this match between Ivory Coast and Burkina Faso and man what a dominating performance from the Elephants! their attack was so sharp they really tore the Burkinabe team apart meanwhile Algeria's win over DR Congo is a great comeback story for Adil Boulbina I think this tournament is getting more interesting by the day, with all these new teams rising to the challenge [link]
I'm loving this new vibe in African football ! It's crazy how Ivory Coast just dominated Burkina Faso 3-0 and Algeria is on a roll too . This could definitely lead to some exciting matches in the quarter finals, especially if lesser-known teams like Egypt or Algeria can pull off some upsets .
On the flip side, I'm not sure about this new tier of top-ranked vs lesser-experienced teams . If it does become a thing, might we see some more predictable outcomes and less surprises? That's what makes the tournament so thrilling in the first place β the unpredictability!
Still, gotta give credit to Algeria for coming back from behind like that in their match against DR Congo . Adil Boulbina is definitely one player to watch out for !
So Algeria just edged out DR Congo in a penalty shootout ... that's like 8 shots on goal with only one team scoring ! Meanwhile Ivory Coast is dominating games left and right they're averaging 2-3 goals per game . On the other hand, Burkina Faso was just thrashed 3-0 . I'm loving how unpredictable this tournament is . Did you know that the top 5 ranked teams in Africa are currently unbeaten?
