Another Quinn Hughes show as Wild rally to dump Habs in OT

Quinn Hughes' brilliance continues to be a hallmark of the Minnesota Wild's home games, as the 20-year-old defenseman tied franchise record with three assists in their thrilling 4-3 overtime victory over Montreal on Monday.

The Wild trailed 3-2 with 13 minutes left in regulation, but Brock Faber's equalizing goal and Kirill Kaprizov's game-winner sealed a 12th consecutive home win against the Canadiens.

Hughes' incredible assist tally has become a staple of Wild games, tying franchise record for most assists by a defenseman in a single game held by Ryan Suter. Hughes also tied his own mark for most assists in 25 games, leaving fans and opponents alike in awe of his skill on the ice.

"It's finding ways to win," Faber said post-game. "That's what you've got to do." The Wild's ability to overcome adversity was evident as they battled back from a two-goal deficit to secure the overtime winner.

Coach John Hynes praised his team for their resilience, stating that they stayed true to the game plan and capitalized on their opportunities when it mattered most.

Brock Faber scored a career-best 13th goal of the season in the third period to tie the game again, sending it into overtime. Filip Gustavsson made 17 saves for Minnesota, while Jakub Dobes had 20 saves for Montreal.

The Wild close out their pre-Olympic schedule on Wednesday night with their first trip to Nashville in 2025-26. However, with injury concerns still lingering over Daemon Hunt and Marcus Foligno, Hynes will have to wait until Tuesday to determine whether the pair will be available to travel.

OMG this game was insane 🤯! I'm loving Quinn Hughes' skills on the ice, he's literally a genius 😎. The way they came back from that two-goal deficit is incredible, it just goes to show that even when things seem lost, you can still find ways to win 💪. Faber and Kaprizov are having amazing games, I'm so hyped for them right now 🤩. And Coach Hynes is totally right, staying true to the game plan and capitalizing on opportunities is key 🔓. Now, let's see how they'll do in Nashville, fingers crossed they can get those guys back from injury 🤞.

ugh, this is crazy! Quinn Hughes is literally a magician on ice 🤩🏒️ i mean, 3 assists in one game? that's insane! but seriously, it's about time someone recognized his talent... 12th home win against the Canadiens is huge for Wild fans 🙌. brock faber's equalizing goal and kaprizov's game-winner were clutch 💥. but what's with all these injuries? daemon hunt and marcus foligno are crucial to the team, can't they just stay healthy for once? 🤕 coach john hynes is gonna have his work cut out for him when they head to nashville in a few days... fingers crossed that faber keeps up this form 😅.

OMG 😱 did u see Quinn Hughes' assist line on Monday?? 🤯 he's literally magic on ice! Tying that franchise record for most assists by a defenseman in one game is just insane. I'm not surprised tho, he's been playing that well all season. Coach Hynes must be so proud of his team for bouncing back from that 2-goal deficit. And Faber's equalizing goal was pure perfection 😎🏒

I'm loving Quinn Hughes' skills right now 🤩! He's like a young Eric Staal on ice (you know, that cool Canadian defenseman from the past). The way he glides across the rink and dishes out those precision passes is pure magic ✨. And 3 assists in one game? That's just insane! I'm not surprised he tied that franchise record for most assists by a defenseman in a single game – he's been on fire all season 🔥.

But what impresses me most about the Wild right now is their ability to bounce back from tough situations. I mean, going down 3-2 with only 13 minutes left and then coming back to win in OT? That's clutch! The team's resilience and determination are really paying off this season 🙌.

And can we talk about Brock Faber for a sec? His goal in the third period was huge, and he's on fire right now! He's like a dark horse candidate for the NHL's rookie of the year award 💥. And coach Hynes' praise for his team is well-deserved – they're playing some of the best hockey I've seen all season 👏.

Anyway, I'm hyped for their next game in Nashville! Fingers crossed they can stay healthy with Daemon Hunt and Marcus Foligno 🤞.

omg I'm so confused about hockey 😂 I mean I know it's a big deal or whatever but I just don't get why they wear all that protective gear 🤷‍♀️ like what if you just, like, wore some armor and called it a day? 😂 anyway I guess Quinn Hughes is pretty cool 💪 I saw he scored like 3 assists in one game 🤯 how do people even keep track of that stuff? 📊 and omg the Wild are on a roll 🔥 12 home wins in a row?! that's crazy! 💥

omg u gotta love quinn hughes r skills on ice lol hes literally a genius out there ! that 3 assist game was insane i mean who needs a hat trick when ur already tying franchise records rn ? faber and kaprizov r key players but honestly the whole team worked together to get that w 🤩 coach hynes r proud of them too they kept it real on the ice & played smart hockey thats what matters most . now lets see how da team does in nashville on wed tho injury concerns ar still a thing so fingers crossed dao hunt & marcus foligno can play

ugh i love watching quinn hughes play 🤩 he's literally a wizard on ice lol his ability to make those assists is insane! did you see that game where they came back from 2 goals down? crazy stuff! it's like he has a sixth sense or something 🙌 and faber's career best goal was so clutch... i'm not even mad he tied that record 😂 but seriously, the wild's home winning streak is insane. can't wait to see them take on nashville next week 👊

🤩 I'm loving this Quinn Hughes kid, he's like a magician on the ice 🧙‍♂️! The way he effortlessly glides across the rink and sets up his teammates for those sick assists is just pure artistry. He's got this uncanny ability to read the game and make something out of nothing 🔮.

And I gotta give it up for Brock Faber, what a career-best goal by him 🎉! The way he tied the game again in the third period was like a masterclass in clutch hockey 💥. And coach John Hynes, he's been preaching about this team's resilience and it's showing in their ability to bounce back from being down 3-2 with only 13 minutes left.

But what really gets me excited is that they're on a 12-game win streak at home 🚀! That's just incredible. They need to keep this momentum going and take advantage of the teams that are struggling right now. With these injuries looming over Daemon Hunt and Marcus Foligno, it's more important than ever for them to stay healthy 🤕.

Overall, I'm loving the Wild's chances in the playoffs right now 🔥! They've got the talent, the depth, and the will to win. It's going to be a wild ride, and I couldn't ask for anything more 😎.

OMG I'M SO HYPED FOR QUAIN HUGHES!!! 😍🏒️ HE'S LIKE A MAGNET OUT THERE ON THE ICE WITH HIS ASSISTS!!! AND BROCK FABER'S GOAL IN THE 3RD PERIOD WAS SO CLICHE!!! 🔥💨 the wild's home win streak is insane and i'm loving how they're bouncing back from those tough spots. coach hynes is straight fire for keeping it real about needing to capitalize on opportunities 🙌🏻

OMG, this Quinn Hughes guy is seriously on fire 🔥! I mean, tying that franchise record for most assists in a game? Mind blown 😲! And can we talk about Brock Faber's equalizing goal and Kirill Kaprizov's game-winner? Such clutch plays 🤩! It's amazing to see the Wild's ability to bounce back from a two-goal deficit – they really are finding ways to win, right? 💪 Coach Hynes is right, staying true to the game plan and capitalizing on opportunities when it matters most is key. And Filip Gustavsson's 17 saves were pure gold 🎯! Can't wait to see what's next for this team... but hope Daemon Hunt and Marcus Foligno are healthy enough to travel soon 🤞

I'm loving how Quinn Hughes is taking over those hockey games! 🚀 The kid's got skills for days and it's awesome to see him break records on the ice. But what I find really interesting is how the Wild are bouncing back from adversity - it's like they're saying, "You know what? We've got this." 🤝 It's all about staying true to your game plan and seizing those opportunities when it matters most. And let's be real, 12 straight home wins against the Canadiens is no joke! 😎

🤔 The Minnesota Wild's penchant for dramatic comebacks is indeed a testament to their resilience 💪, which has become an integral aspect of their game plan 📈. Quinn Hughes' unparalleled assist tally is a prime example of this, as he continues to defy expectations and rewrite franchise records 🔥. It's fascinating to see how the team has been able to overcome seemingly insurmountable deficits to secure victories like this one ⏰. The fact that Brock Faber's game-tying goal came in the third period adds an extra layer of complexity to their strategy, highlighting the importance of adaptability and execution under pressure 💡.

Ugh, I just love how the Wild's game summaries always end up being so long-winded 🙄. Can't they just give us a quick rundown of the highlights? And what's with all these quotes from the players and coaches? It's like we can't even get 3-4 sentences without being hit with some cheesy motivational phrase 😒.

And have you noticed how the Wild's website is always slow to load? I mean, it's not like they're trying to break records or anything... 🤦‍♂️. Give us a decent loading time and maybe we'll start to care about their games again.

🤔 This is just too suspicious, you know? I mean, Quinn Hughes' record-breaking assist tally... it's almost like they're trying to distract us from something bigger. Like, what if the Wild are actually just a team of super-advanced, AI-trained hockey players?! 🤖 And don't even get me started on Brock Faber's equalizing goal – was that really just luck? I think he's hiding something. 😏

ugh i'm so down for quinn hughes' insane stats rn 🤯🏒️ he's literally the real MVP of the wild's home games! 3 assists in one game is just crazy, and tying ryan suter's franchise record? that's just sick. the way they battled back from a 2-goal deficit was incredible too - it's all about staying focused and capitalizing on opportunities when it matters most 📊🎯 did u see faber's career-best goal of the season tho? 13th of the season and still going strong! and what's up with daemon hunt and marcus foligno's injury concerns? hope they get cleared to travel by tues 🤞

OMG, Quinn Hughes is literally a magician out there 🤩!!! I mean, three assists in one game? That's insane! 😲 The Wild's home games are always so much fun to watch with him on the ice. And can we talk about Brock Faber's equalizing goal? The kid is a goal-scoring machine 💥. I love how the team just kept pushing forward despite being down by two goals. It's all about staying focused and playing smart, you know? 🤓

🏒️ So what's the real story here? It's not just about Quinn Hughes' sick assist tally... it's about the Wild's ability to close out games when it matters most! 🤔 I mean, come on, trailing 3-2 with 13 minutes left in regulation and still managing to win in overtime? That takes heart, that takes teamwork, and that takes a solid game plan. And let's be real, Coach John Hynes' comments about staying true to the game plan aren't just empty words... they're a reflection of his leadership style. 🤝 The question is, can the Wild replicate this success on the road? With injury concerns looming over some key players, will their momentum carry over to Nashville? 🚨 One thing's for sure, it's gonna be an interesting pre-Olympic schedule! 💥
