Apple TV has a new intro bumper and soundmark

Apple has unveiled a new intro bumper and soundmark for its streaming service, marking the latest evolution in branding after the company ditched the "plus" from its name. The change comes as part of an effort to simplify the brand's offerings, with Apple removing the "plus" suffix from names like iCloud+ to distinguish between free and paid services.

According to composer Finneas, who has collaborated with Billie Eilish on numerous occasions, the new soundmark – which he calls a "mnemonic" – will become synonymous with the service. Inspired by classic soundmarks like NBC's iconic theme or HBO's static, the Apple logo appears in a hazy animation before shifting into focus, accompanied by the soothing yet distinct audio.

While only time will tell if Apple's new soundmark will have the same lasting impact as Netflix's "tudum," Finneas is confident that his creation will stick in viewers' heads. The five-second bumper will play before every show and episode, with shorter versions for trailers and theatrical releases.

As part of its rebranding efforts, Apple has also introduced a new logo for Apple One – the subscription service that bundles multiple services into a lower-priced monthly plan. The fresh design features a textured, multi-colored Apple illustration, signaling a significant shift in the brand's visual identity.

With these updates, Apple continues to refine its streaming service, making it more accessible and user-friendly for subscribers.

so they're ditching the "plus" thingy from their name lol, I kinda get why tho, it can be confusing with all the apps and services they got 🤔. this new soundmark thingy is pretty cool tho, i love how soothing it sounds 👍, like a warm hug for your ears. and that animation of the apple logo? nice touch 👌. hope it'll stick in our heads like netflix's "tudum" did 📺. but idk if they can top finneas' genius 💡, he's always been one to create some iconic stuff 🔥.

I gotta say, I'm kinda meh about the new soundmark 🤔. I mean, it's pretty and all, but is it really necessary? I feel like they're trying too hard to be different now 😐. And what's with the animated Apple logo? It just feels like a gimmick to me... But hey, I guess if it helps people remember their shows better 📺, then more power to 'em! The new Apple One logo is kinda nice though 💡.

ugh i'm not loving this new soundmark from apple 🙄 it sounds way too try-hard, like they're trying way too hard to be cool 😎 the "mnemonic" thing is just a fancy word for "we want you to remember our brand" and honestly, who needs that much repetition in their life? 💻 can't they just stick with the simplicity of their logo and call it a day? 🤷‍♂️

I'm not sure about this new intro bumper... 🤔 I mean, it's definitely catchy, but is it really needed? We've got so many notifications popping up already when we start watching a show or episode, now another sound effect to tune in with? Can't they just keep the old one? 😊 And what's up with the new Apple One logo? It looks like something from a cartoon 🎨. I guess it's all about simplifying the brand and making everything more accessible... but sometimes less is more, right? 👀

I mean, can you imagine having an intro bumper that's like a mini-movie every time you open up Netflix? Like, 'Tudum' was fire, but now we've got Finneas's soundmark and I'm just over here... Apple's trying to make their streaming service feel like a luxury brand with all this fancy animation and soothing audio, it's like they're saying "Hey, we're not just for tech nerds anymore!" The new logo for Apple One is looking pretty dope too, kinda like the first iPhone when it came out - who would've thought those little color gradients would become iconic?

OMG, I'm so hyped about Apple's new soundmark 🎵🔥! Finneas is a genius, fam 💡 his "mnemonic" thingy is gonna be SO iconic 🔥 I mean, who doesn't love a good theme song? 😂 and the animation of the Apple logo is giving me major nostalgia vibes 💭 it's like they're trying to make their service feel more "premium" or whatever 🤑 but honestly, I'm just here for the sick beats 🎶 can't wait to see how this all plays out! 👀

🚀💡 I'm still used to those old iPods 📴😂, but I think this new soundmark is kinda cool! I mean, Finneas is a genius when it comes to music 🎵. He's got Billie Eilish under his belt and now he's creating something that'll stick in our heads 🤯. The hazy animation before it gets clear is pretty slick 💻. And I love the idea of having a five-second bumper for shows and trailers 👀. It's all about simplifying things and making Apple's streaming service more accessible 📺. I'm curious to see how this new soundmark will impact our viewing experience 👂

OMG, I'm loving the new soundmark 🎵! Finneas is totally genius for creating this mnemonic device that's gonna stick in our heads. It's so soothing and distinct at the same time! The way it fades from hazy to focus is giving me all the feels 😌. I mean, who wouldn't want a five-second intro to signal the start of an epic show? 📺 The new Apple One logo is pretty cool too, it's like they're saying "we're here for you" with this multi-colored, textured design 💖. It's all about making their streaming service more user-friendly and accessible, which is definitely a win in my book 👍!

Think about it, they're trying to simplify their branding but also make it more memorable 😊. The new soundmark is pretty cool, I mean who doesn't love a good nostalgic vibe? It's like the sound of nostalgia itself 🎵. But what's interesting is how Finneas came up with this "mnemonic" idea - he wants people to associate it with Apple's streaming service and remember it forever 🔥. And honestly, it kinda works! I mean, can you imagine something like that playing before every show? It's gonna be a game changer for the brand 🚀.

📺 I'm loving this new soundmark 🎵! It's so calming 🔙 and I can already imagine it becoming iconic 🤩 like Netflix's "tudum" 😊. The animator style is super cool 🎨, reminds me of 80s VHS tapes 📼. Can't wait to see how it all comes together on the big screen 🍿! 👍 Apple's really pushing the boundaries of branding right now 🌈 and I think it's gonna pay off 💸 in the long run. What do you guys think? 🤔
