At Philly's new 'Disaster University,' first responders get immersive training for mass-casualty events

🤔 I gotta say, 220 new ballistic protective vests isn't a whole lot considering how many first responders are out there on the streets. Philly's got a huge population and they need more than just $1 million worth of gear to keep everyone safe 🤑. Maybe they should've budgeted for more equipment, like actual crisis management systems or something 🤷‍♂️. And what's up with only 500 EMTs getting trained? That's just a drop in the bucket compared to how many people are gonna get hurt during that FIFA World Cup and 250th birthday bash 🎉. They need more than just a simulation, they need actual expertise 🤓.
