Australian Open 2026: Jannik Sinner thankful for Melbourne heat rule

The article discusses the extreme heat during the Australian Open tennis tournament. The temperature was extremely high, with some areas reaching over 45°C (113°F). This led to concerns about player safety and the overall conditions of the game. However, the players were able to adapt to the heat by using special equipment and strategies to stay cool. The article also mentions that the heat was so severe that it had an impact on the game's schedule, with some matches being delayed or postponed due to the extreme weather conditions.

I'm kinda glad the Aussie Open got cancelled this year... just kidding 😂. Seriously though, 45°C is crazy hot and I think it's great that players found ways to cope with it. But let's be real, tennis should probably be played in a more climate-controlled environment, you know? 🤔 Like, what's the point of even calling it "extreme" heat when they can just air condition the whole court? 😂

And I feel bad for the players who have to deal with that kind of temperature. They're out there giving it their all on the court while we're just chillin' in our AC rooms, enjoying a cold drink 🍺. It's not fair. But at the same time, I get why they can't just move the tournament to somewhere cooler... it's like, they've got fans who travel from all over the world to watch them play! 🌎

I guess what I'm saying is, while I sympathize with the players' plight, I think it's a bit of a cop-out that they couldn't just adapt better or something. Like, can't we just invent some cool tech to make the court more comfortable for them? 💡

Ugh, 45°C in Australia is insane 😩! I mean, I know they're used to it down under, but come on! Can't a tournament be held without players melting into puddles of sweat? The equipment and strategies are one thing, but what about the actual conditions? Like, how's that supposed to affect the game? Are we talking about tennis here or heatstroke in the outback?

And don't even get me started on the schedule 🕰️. Delays and postponements? That's just a joke. The players are there to play, not to sweat it out like they're in some kind of bizarre sauna competition. I'm surprised no one got heat-related illnesses or anything more serious... that would've been a real game-changer.

It's all just part of the Aussie summer, I guess 😐. But still, can't we have a tournament without feeling like we're stuck in a sci-fi movie? 🚀

I'm still trying to wrap my head around how hot it must've been at the Aussie Open last week 🤯! I mean, 45°C is just ridiculous, especially for athletes who are already pushing their bodies to the limit out there on the court. It's crazy that they were able to adapt and make the most of it, using all sorts of fancy equipment and cooling systems. But at the same time, you've got to feel for the players and staff who had to deal with those conditions - I can only imagine how tough it must've been 🤷‍♀️.

And yeah, it's no surprise that some matches got delayed or postponed... I mean, when it's that hot outside, you don't want to be stuck in a stuffy stadium all day. It's just common sense 🙏. But overall, it was still an epic tournament despite the heat, and I'm stoked that the players were able to perform at their best (mostly) 🎾💪.

omg this is crazy!!! 45 degrees in australia is like midday summer here i cant even imagine playing tennis in that heat i feel bad for the players they must be melting like ice cubes under a hot lamp idk how they do it but props to them for adapting and taking care of themselves the equipment and strategies they use sound super clever like cooling towels and misting systems thats a game changer can u imagine if this happened at wimbledon lol no thanks im good in that heat tho

Ugh, can't believe they're making players play in those crazy temperatures 🤯! I mean, 45°C is just ridiculous, even for Australia. The fact that players had to use special equipment and strategies to stay cool just shows how extreme it was. And the impact on the schedule? Forget about it ⏰. Delays and postponements are one thing, but what if someone gets heatstroke or something? It's just not safe 🤕.

And have you seen those tennis balls they're using now? Heat-resistant ones that don't get all soggy in the heat. Can you believe that's a thing? 😂 Priorities, right? But seriously, shouldn't they be focusing on player safety instead of 'innovating' new equipment? Just saying 👀

Ugh, I'm still fuming about this Australian Open thing 😩. Can't believe they're gonna force players to play in those crazy hot conditions. 45 degrees Celsius? That's just insane! What were they thinking?! 🙄 The players are brave, I'll give 'em that, but come on, can't we do better than this? At least they had the sense to use cooling gear and adjust their schedules... I guess that's a start, but it feels like just a Band-Aid solution. And what about all the fans who got stuck in the heat?! They must've been baking out there too. Can't wait for the commentators to go on about how 'tough' it was for the players... like they're some kind of superheroes or something 🙄. Anyway, just hope they can get things back under control for the rest of the tournament.

omg the aussie open is heating up literally 🤩 i feel bad for the players having to compete in such crazy temps 45c is insane! i can only imagine how tough it must be out there on the court ⚡️ like, they're already giving it their all and then you gotta deal with the heat? no wonder some matches got delayed 🕰️ anyway, i'm glad the players found ways to cope with the heat using special gear and all that. it's just wild to think about how much of an impact the weather can have on a sporting event 💨

just read about how scorching hot it got at the aussie open 🤯 i mean, 113 degrees is insane! like, can you even imagine playing tennis in that kinda heat? i guess they had some pretty cool solutions tho, like those cooling towels and special shoes to help keep players' feet from getting all sweaty 🧦 anyway, gotta wonder how much it affects the game itself...i feel bad for the players, but at the same time, it's crazy impressive that they were able to power through 😓

omg 45°C at a tennis tournament is crazy 🤯 I feel for the players having to deal with that kinda heat. its like, they're out there trying to serve and volley and its like, "dude can you please just take a break in the shade?" 😂

anyway i think its awesome that the players were able to adapt and use special equipment to stay cool. like those cooling towels and hats are a game changer 💦🎩

but at the same time i feel bad for the fans who have to deal with the heat too 🤕 they're out there cheering on their faves and its not exactly the most comfortable environment.

and oh man the impact on the schedule is wild ⏰ some matches getting delayed or postponed? that's just crazy talk! but i guess its all part of the game, haha get it 😂
