Vampire Survivors Gets a Major Balatro Expansion for Free
Vampire Survivors has just received a free update that brings a new expansion inspired by the indie phenomenon Balatro. The Ante Chamber update introduces a fresh stage, new characters, and power-ups that seamlessly blend Vampire Survivors with the world of Balatro.
The titular stage, Ante Chamber, is a visually striking representation of playing cards, evoking the source material from which it's derived. Players will also have access to iconic character Jimbo, the Joker, alongside various power-ups inspired by the game. Fans can expect increased points combos via jokers and new takes on existing Balatro mechanics like planet cards.
This update is more than just a nod to Balatro - it introduces online co-op play, although this feature still hasn't arrived on mobile yet. The expansion also includes multiple stages, characters, weapons, and other new content that fans will undoubtedly be eager to dive into.
The Ante Chamber update is now available for free download across various platforms, including Steam, Android, iOS, PS4, and PS5, with the Switch and Epic Games Store set to receive it on October 31. While an Xbox One release was initially planned, the game's developers revealed that the update won't be coming to Xbox consoles just yet, citing a delay in certification.
