The Green Bay Packers are set to welcome two key linebackers back into the fold for Sunday's matchup against their NFC North rivals, the Chicago Bears. T.J. Edwards and Noah Sewell, both starters at linebacker, will return to action after missing several games due to injury.
Edwards, a Wisconsin native, has been dealing with a nagging hamstring issue that kept him out of the lineup since November 2. However, he's confident that his team is ready for their trip to Lambeau Field, where they'll face off against the Packers in front of a sea of Cheesehead fans.
"I'm slowly converting them, for sure," Edwards quipped when asked about his wife and family's allegiance to the Packers. "They wear a blue jacket, but you've got to check the turtlenecks β sometimes they've got green underneath." Despite being an honorary Packers fan, Edwards made it clear that he'll be bringing some extra motivation with him to the game.
Sewell, who suffered an elbow injury three games ago against the Giants, is also looking forward to suiting up and putting in a full 60 minutes of play. "I think it's exciting β we've got all the bullets ready to go," he said.
The Packers have been hit with their own share of injuries, ruling out several key players including cornerbacks Tyrique Stevenson (hip) and Ruben Hyppolite II (shoulder). On the other side of the ball, Green Bay will be without defensive linemen Lukas Van Ness (foot), Collin Oliver (hamstring), and Devonte Wyatt (ankle).
