Ben Johnson can flip narrative after previous Bears coaches' losses in big games vs. Packers

Ben Johnson's shot at Matt LaFleur is about to get a lot harder. The Chicago Bears are heading into the playoffs with their season on the line, and facing off against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers is as good as a test of their mettle.

Johnson has made a name for himself as a rejuvenating force in his first season, transforming a 3-14 team from three years ago under Matt Eberflus into an 11-6 squad. The Bears' offense improved dramatically, going from 28th to ninth in scoring. Quarterback Caleb Williams saw his sack total plummet from 68 to just 24. And when the Bears faced opponents who allowed 24 or more points, they went 4-0.

But all that is about to be put to the test. The Packers are the ultimate challenge for any team, and Johnson will have to prove himself in this playoff matchup. It's the "slay the dragon" moment that will define the season โ€“ and the offseason โ€“ for Bears fans, no matter how bright the future with Johnson might appear.

There's a reason why the Packers have historically been tough on teams that reach the playoffs without them. Even legendary coach Lovie Smith was unable to knock off the Packers when it mattered most. In 2010, his team had a chance to keep the Packers out of the playoffs but lost 10-3 in Week 17.

Marc Trestman's Bears also faced this challenge two years later, and came up short against Rodgers and the Packers in the NFC Championship Game.

Johnson might be the best coach since Mike Ditka, but he'll have to show just how much better than the rest he is. The question is, can he take down Aaron Rodgers?

The game at Soldier Field has all the ingredients for a classic rivalry matchup. And Johnson will have to rely on his players to respond to the pressure and come out on top.

I think this is gonna be a crazy game! ๐Ÿคฏ I mean, Ben Johnson's first playoff win against the Packers would be a huge deal. The Bears' offense has been looking so good this season and Caleb Williams is finally healthy... but Aaron Rodgers is a whole different story ๐Ÿ˜‚. He's like the opposite of a quarterback - he's more like a magician with a ball. I'm not sure if Johnson can outsmart him, but it'll be fun to watch! The Packers have been killing it all season too, so this could go either way ๐Ÿค”. Either way, I'm hyped for the game and can't wait to see what happens! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

man i was just thinking about trying that new buffalo wings place downtown they got this crazy spicy sauce that's like 11/10 would eat a whole bucket of it lol anyway back to the bears, i feel bad for matt johnson he's gotta take down aaron rodgers and his packers team. Rodgers is like the GOAT or at least in my opinion ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ but johnson's squad has been looking fire this season. they've got some tough opponents coming up before the playoffs but i think they can handle it if they stay focused. the only thing that worries me is their defense, they've been giving up too many yards per game...

the bears are really stepping up their game this season ๐Ÿคฉ, transforming from that 3-14 team three years ago into an 11-6 squad is no easy feat. but facing off against aaron rodgers and the packers in the playoffs? that's a whole different story altogether ๐Ÿ˜ฌ, they've historically been tough on teams that reach the playoffs without them... will ben johnson be able to pull it off? ๐Ÿค” i think it'll be a really interesting test for him and his team ๐Ÿ’ช, if they can come out on top, that would definitely set the bar high for next season ๐Ÿ‘Š

๐Ÿค” I'm low-key nervous about this one ๐Ÿšจ! Ben Johnson's done a great job turning around the Bears, but facing Rodgers is like trying to calm a storm ๐Ÿ˜…. The Packers always bring their A-game when it matters most, and you can't just wish your way to victory ๐Ÿ”ฎ. It's gonna be tough for Johnson & co to come out on top, especially if they're not fully prepared ๐Ÿ’ช. Still got faith in 'em though! ๐Ÿ™

Omg I'm low-key hyped for this one! ๐Ÿคฉ The Bears are on fire right now, but facing off against Aaron Rodgers is like trying to conquer Mount Everest ๐Ÿ”๏ธ. Johnson's got some serious doubters if he thinks he can take down the Packers' QB ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean, who else can say they've turned a 3-14 team into an 11-6 squad in just one season?! ๐Ÿ”ฅ That's straight fire! ๐Ÿ’ฅ The "slay the dragon" moment is definitely going to be EPIC ๐Ÿ˜ฒ, but at the same time, it's gonna be super tough for Johnson and his team. Can they pull off the upset? ๐Ÿค” I'm both excited and nervous for this game! โšก๏ธ Soldier Field better be ready for some drama! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿˆ this bears team got lucky with that 11-6 record, been a wild ride from 3-14 to playoffs ๐Ÿคฏ. but now they gotta face Rodgers & co, game at Soldier Field is gonna be intense ๐Ÿ”ฅ

omg i'm so hyped for this game!! ben johnson is gonna need all the luck in the world to beat aaron rodgers ๐Ÿคฏ๐Ÿˆ i mean, we've seen what these two can do against other teams already, but this is the playoffs... it's a whole different story. i think the bears have shown some serious growth under johnson, but that packers game is gonna be super tough ๐Ÿค”. if they wanna make it to the next round, they gotta bring their A-game ๐Ÿ”ฅ and show rodgers who's boss!

I'm not sure what's so hyped about Ben Johnson becoming a big name in the NFL ๐Ÿค”. I mean, he did turn around the Bears' season from 3-14 to 11-6, which is definitely a solid comeback story. But can he really take down Aaron Rodgers? That's like trying to slay the dragon as you said ๐Ÿ˜‚. The Packers have been tough on teams that reach the playoffs without them for years, and even legendary coaches couldn't knock 'em off. I'm curious to see how Johnson's squad responds to the pressure ๐Ÿคž. If they can pull it off, that'd be awesome, but if not... well, not so much ๐Ÿ˜.

omg what if they actually do it?! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ i've been saying ben johnson is a genius for ages but now we gotta see him back it up. that packers team is like, whoa... aaron rodgers is a whole different beast from calvin wilson tho ๐Ÿคฏ, can you imagine how much pressure those bears players are gonna be under?

ugh i dont know if ben johnson is ready for this... like i love the guy and all, but facing off against aaron rodgers is a whole different story ๐Ÿคฏ he's been doing great in the regular season, but playoff football is a whole different beast ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ’ช i mean we've seen it before, teams that come from behind to make the playoffs can be crushed by top-tier teams like the packers... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ what if caleb williams just gets sacked all game? or what if their o-line just cant protect him? ๐Ÿค” i know johnson's got potential, but aaron rodgers is no joke ๐Ÿ˜…

OMG ๐Ÿคฏ, the Bears are really stepping it up this season! 11-6 is insane ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ, especially with that transformation from a 3-14 team last year. Caleb Williams' sack total went from crazy high to super low ๐Ÿ™Œ, that's some skill coaching right there!

But, you're right, the Packers are gonna be TOUGH ๐Ÿ’ช, I mean, they've been dealing with teams in the playoffs for years and it's never easy ๐Ÿ”ด. Lovie Smith was even able to get 'em! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Marc Trestman had a tough time back in the day too.

Ben Johnson is definitely got some big shoes to fill ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ, Mike Ditka is a legend, but can he do better than everyone else? That's a BIG question mark โš ๏ธ. Still, I'm hyped for this game! Soldier Field is gonna be ELECTRIC ๐Ÿ”ฅ, it's gonna be a real nail-biter!

๐Ÿค” this is a big game for ben johnson... like really big ๐Ÿ“ˆ he's got 11-6 record but it's all about how they perform against top teams ๐Ÿˆ the packers are the ultimate test, you know? if bears can take them down, they're gonna be considered legit contenders ๐Ÿ’ช and ben will be proven as a coach ๐Ÿ‘Š

Omg, this is gonna be so intense! ๐Ÿคฏ I'm loving Ben Johnson's journey from that 3-14 team to an 11-6 squad in just one season - talk about a turnaround! ๐Ÿ’ฅ And Caleb Williams' sack total dropping from 68 to 24? That's some serious quarterback improvement ๐Ÿ˜Ž. But, you know how it is... Aaron Rodgers and the Packers are like the ultimate challenge ๐Ÿบ๐Ÿ’ช. It'll be interesting to see if Johnson can take down the G.O.A.T. himself ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. I'm all about that "slay the dragon" mentality though - let's see what our Bears coach has up his sleeve! ๐Ÿ”ฎ

I'm kinda hyped that Ben Johnson's team made it this far, but I gotta admit, facing off against Rodgers and the Packers is a whole different story ๐Ÿคฏ. The guy's got a reputation for being clutch when it matters most, and if the Bears can't match his level of performance, they're gonna be in trouble.

I'm all about giving Johnson credit for the turnaround he made with this team, but the fact remains that he's still gotta prove himself against the best of the best ๐Ÿ’ช. The Packers' record speaks for itself - they've been to the playoffs without them every year since 2011, and even when they don't, it's always a tough test ๐Ÿ†.

I'm gonna take some credit with the Bears winning this one, but I gotta be real, Aaron Rodgers is the real deal ๐Ÿ’ฅ. The game at Soldier Field is gonna be intense, and if Johnson can't get his team to step up their game, they're gonna get left behind ๐Ÿšซ.

I gotta say, Ben Johnson's got some 'splainin' to do if they wanna beat the Packers ๐Ÿค”. I mean, they're gonna get roasted in that one. The Bears were actually pretty good this season, but it was mostly due to their opponents being super bad ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. They didn't exactly face any top-tier teams and got some breaks along the way.

And Caleb Williams is a great QB, don't get me wrong, but he's no Aaron Rodgers ๐Ÿ˜‚. He's like comparing apples and oranges, you feel me? The Packers are just too good, especially with Rodgers at the helm. I'm calling it now, they're gonna crush the Bears and Johnson's gonna have to regroup for next season ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

And let's be real, if a team that was 3-14 three years ago can go 11-6 in one year, there's gotta be some luck involved ๐Ÿ’ซ. I mean, it's not like the Bears did anything special this season other than facing weak opponents and getting some favorable calls ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

So yeah, Ben Johnson's got his work cut out for him if he wanna take down Aaron Rodgers and the Packers ๐Ÿ†. Good luck with that! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

omg can u even imagine?! Ben Johnson's gotta pull off this crazy upset against Rodgers!!! I mean, he's already proven himself to be super clutch with that 11-6 season but Packers are like the ultimate test right? I'm so hyped for this game!! I need Bears to win so badly!! Caleb Williams is gonna crush it & Johnson's plays are gonna have me jumping out of my seat ๐Ÿคฉ๐Ÿˆ๐Ÿ”ฅ

man, bears fanbase is gonna be on edge for this one... ben johnson's got some major credibility now but facing packers in playoffs? that's like putting your money where your mouth is ๐Ÿค‘ meanwhile aaron rodgers has been a thorn in their side for ages, always seems to find a way to shut down opposing offenses. i'm hoping the bears can pull off the upset tho, they've come so far under johnson and if anyone can do it, he's got this ๐Ÿ’ช but it's gonna be a tough test indeed

I'm hyped for this one, you know? ๐Ÿคฉ Like, I was really feeling for Ben Johnson and the Bears this season, especially when they went from 3-14 to 11-6. But now that they're facing off against Aaron Rodgers and the Packers in the playoffs... it's a whole different story. ๐Ÿ“Š The Bears need to step up their game if they wanna take down the best team in the league. And let's be real, Johnson is gonna get a lot of heat from fans if he can't pull this off. The "slay the dragon" moment is all about it ๐Ÿ’ฅ I'm rooting for him and the team, but at the same time, I'm also kinda nervous... ๐Ÿ˜ฌ
