Canon EOS R6 III review: A video powerhouse that's also great for photography

The Canon EOS R6 III is an impressive powerhouse of a mirrorless camera designed specifically for creators who need fast autofocus, excellent handling, and RAW video capabilities.

While it may not offer the same level of dynamic range as Sony's A7 V, the R6 III can still deliver outstanding results in terms of color science, with warm skin tones and accurate colors even at high ISOs. The camera also boasts a 33MP sensor with fast burst speeds, thanks to an all-new sensor and 34% faster Digic X processor, which enables it to shoot bursts at up to 40 fps in electronic mode. However, the R6 III’s video capabilities are arguably its most significant improvement.

In comparison to Sony's A7 V, Canon's midrange offering can capture up to 60 fps of 7K RAW video on CFexpress cards, making it an attractive option for content creators who need high-quality footage at various resolutions. The camera also features excellent autofocus across all resolutions and is capable of tracking animals, birds, and vehicles.

However, photography enthusiasts may want to look elsewhere due to the R6 III's higher price point ($3,500) compared to Sony's A7 V ($2,900). Additionally, while it excels in terms of handling and design, the camera's styling might not appeal to those seeking a more stylish option.

Overall, if you're invested in the Canon ecosystem or prefer Canon lenses, the EOS R6 III is an excellent midrange choice for content creators who need reliable autofocus, high-quality video, and robust handling.

I'm so excited about this new camera 🤩! 60 fps of 7K RAW video on CFexpress cards is insane 🚀! I can already imagine all the epic vlogs and footage I'll be capturing with this thing 💥. The warm skin tones and accurate colors are a huge selling point for me, especially when it comes to shooting portraits and music videos 📸. Sure, it's pricey at $3,500, but I think it's worth it for all the features and quality you get 🤑. Anyone else considering getting one of these? 🤔

I gotta say, I'm loving the new Canon EOS R6 III 🤩 but that price tag is a bit steep... $3,500 is a lot to ask from anyone, let alone a midrange camera. I mean, Sony's A7 V is still an amazing option and it's like $600 less 💸. The R6 III is definitely a beast in terms of autofocus and video capabilities, but if you're looking for a more stylish design, there are other options out there that might fit the bill better 👀

I'm so stoked about the Canon EOS R6 III! 🤩 It's like a beast of a camera that's made for the pros 💪. I mean, the video capabilities are insane - 60fps in 7K RAW? That's like, the ultimate tool for content creators 🎥. And yeah, it's pricey ($3,500), but if you're already invested in Canon, it's a solid choice 💼. The autofocus is on point and the handling is so smooth ✈️. I think the only thing that might hold some people back is the styling - it's not for everyone 🤷‍♀️. But if you're looking for a reliable camera that can handle high-end content, the R6 III is definitely worth considering 🔥

🤔 I mean, can you believe the new Canon R6 III is out? It's like a beast of a camera! The 40 fps burst mode in electronic mode is insane 🐯, and the RAW video capabilities are on point. But for me, it's all about that price tag 💸, $3,500 is a bit steep for my liking. I'm still waiting to see how it compares to Sony's A7 V in real-world use cases. The styling might not be everyone's cup of tea either 🤷‍♀️, but hey, if you're invested in the Canon ecosystem and need that autofocus, it's worth considering.

omg I'm literally shaking with excitement about this camera 🤯! Canon's finally caught up with Sony in terms of video capabilities and I am HERE. FOR. IT!!! 60fps in 7K RAW on CFexpress cards? That's like a dream come true for content creators who want high-quality footage! And the autofocus is insane too - tracking animals, birds, vehicles... it's like having your own personal photogramming assistant 📸🐦🚗 I know some people might say it's pricey, but trust me, if you're invested in Canon lenses and ecosystem, this camera is WORTH IT 💸💯

The thing that really struck me about this camera is how it teaches us about prioritization 🤔. On one hand, you've got a powerhouse of a camera with all the bells and whistles, but on the other hand, you're still paying almost $1,000 more than your Sony counterpart 💸. It's like the old saying goes - you can't have it all, especially when it comes to cash 💸. What this says to me is that sometimes we've got to be okay with making choices and living with what we have, rather than trying to get everything we want 🤷‍♂️. And also, it's a great reminder to consider our values as consumers - do we really need the latest and greatest, or can we get by with something that still gets the job done? 📸

📸 the price point tho 🤯 $3,500 is a lil steep for me lol 😅 but if you're all about canon ecosystem and want that 60fps 7k raw vid then i guess its worth it 💸 and btw canon's color science is still on point even at high iso 🌙
