Sam Underhill and Ollie Lawrence ruled out of Champions Cup Pool 2 tie against Castres.

England flanker Sam Underhill and centre Ollie Lawrence have been forced to withdraw from Bath's Champions Cup match against Castres at Stade Pierre-Fabre on Friday.

According to a latest update, both players sustained "knocks" during the team's 33-26 Premiership win over Exeter last Saturday. No further information is available regarding the potential length of their absence.

Bath has made several changes in their back row with Miles Reid taking Ted Hill's place alongside Alfie Barbeary and Guy Pepper coming off the bench to replace Underhill.

In centres, England international Max Ojomoh will start alongside Cameron Redpath after recovering from a calf injury. Meanwhile, Quinn Roux returns to the starting line-up at the expense of Italian international Enoch Opoku-Gyamfi, who made his Premiership debut in this match against Exeter.

The Pool 2 standings currently place Bath as the only team with two bonus points and six overall points, ahead of Johann van Graan's side. The top four teams after four rounds will advance to the last 16 knockout stage.

Ugh I'm so gutted for Sam Underhill 🤕! He's been on fire this season and now he's out with an injury 🤞. Can't wait to see how the team adapts without him, looks like Miles Reid is stepping up 👍.
