CBS News Contributor Peter Attia Apologizes for Correspondence with Jeffrey Epstein: ‘I Was Not Involved in Any Criminal Activity’

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this whole thing ... I mean, come on, Dr. Peter Attia, who's supposed to be a health guru, was buddies with Jeffrey Epstein? Like, how does that even work? I get it, we're all human and can make mistakes, but this is just a whole different level of problematic . And now he's apologizing on X (I guess that's like his Twitter now ) for these emails, but still denying any wrongdoing... it's hard to know what to believe . I think what really bothers me is how many people were probably exposed to Epstein through Attia's connections, and who knows what kind of harm might have been done? It's just not right . And CBS News is trying to spin this as a "modernization" thing, but honestly, it feels like they're just trying to whitewash the whole thing . I'm not sure how much longer Attia's going to be involved with them...

I'm so done with these powerful people trying to whitewash their pasts like it's no big deal. I mean, come on, Dr. Attia had a friendship with Epstein that lasted YEARS after he was charged with serious crimes? That's not just "embarrassing" or "tasteless", that's downright negligent. And now he's trying to spin it like it was all about health and wellness? Give me a break.

And what really gets my goat is that CBS News is using this as an opportunity to "modernize" their journalism while still having the nerve to hire someone with so much baggage. Can't they see that this kind of thing just perpetuates the problem? All about appearances and not substance. It's like they're more concerned with being woke than actually doing some real reporting.

I'm all for second chances, but only if you take full responsibility and acknowledge your mistakes. And even then, it's a long time before trust can be fully restored.

so i'm trying to make sense of this... dr attia had a convo with epstein after he was already in hot water but attia says they were just talking about science and health yet it's weird that he didn't cut ties ASAP considering epsen's alleged crimes what i'd like to see is more context on these emails maybe there's more to the story than we know
