Christmas Village shoppers swarm new vendor to pay $10-$40 for mysterious unopened packages

At Philadelphia's Christmas Village, shoppers have flocked to one vendor in particular, Chain Mail Unclaimed, with many eager to spend $10-$40 on mysterious unopened packages without knowing what they contain.

Chain Mail Unclaimed is a company run by Emma Zielinski that sells unopened packages that were lost or abandoned. Each package has no guarantee of its contents and the prices range between $10-$40 based on size. The concept may seem unusual, but it has become a huge hit among customers who are drawn to the idea of searching for hidden treasures.

Since opening her stand at Christmas Village, Chain Mail Unclaimed's sales have been overwhelming with over 3,000 packages sold in just two weeks, and this number continues to rise as she sells around 500 packages daily. The vendor has stated that the initial inventory was sold out in just the first two days of operation.

Chain Mail Unclaimed's origin story is interesting; Emma saw an idea for a business on social media from another company selling similar unknown packages at a farmer's market in Paris and decided to follow her passion and collaborate with her husband. The idea is low risk but high reward, and it has proven to be successful so far.

Customers are drawn to the vendor by social media presence, where they can view an assortment of unboxing videos that display what customers have received from packages. This experience is likened to a modern-day treasure hunt.

Some of the items inside these mystery packages include green wigs, giant flags, and even half lion, half Demogorgon creatures – which are being cherished by the PhillyVoice office.

OMG 🤯 I'm literally obsessed with this chain mail unclaimed thingy! I mean, who wouldn't want to buy a mystery package for $20? It's like, the ultimate thrill for me! 😂 The idea of searching for hidden treasures is so cool. I've been following Chain Mail Unclaimed on social media and I'm dying to try one out. Emma's story is so inspiring too! She's all about taking a risk and following her passion. I love it 💖

I'm not sold on this whole mystery package thing. $10-$40 for a box with no idea what's in it? That sounds like a scam to me 🤑. I mean, if you want to buy something, just get it and pay for it, right? Why make a fuss about some random stuff being inside? It's not like the contents are gonna change your life or anything 😂.

And another thing, what's with all these people paying money to potentially waste their cash on something they don't even want? 🤦‍♀️ I get that it's a fun idea for a "treasure hunt" and all, but come on, you're just throwing money away. And the fact that there's no guarantee of anything being in the package just makes it weirder 🙃.

I guess if you're into that sorta thing, go for it 🎉. But personally, I'll stick to buying something with a return policy and not some shady, mystery box nonsense 😒.

I'm loving this crazy Christmas Village trend! 🎅 I mean, who wouldn't want to spend $10-$40 on a mysterious package that could be anything? 😂 It's like a modern-day treasure hunt, and the social media presence is genius - I've seen some wild unboxing videos online, and people are literally salivating over what they're gonna get. 🤯 The idea of buying something with no guarantee is kinda thrilling, you know? And Emma's got a great story behind her business - low risk, high reward! 💸 It's also really cool that she's collaborating with her husband, too. Anyway, I think this is the future of shopping... or at least, the future of weird holiday gifts 😉.

I love this idea! My kiddos would freak out over something like this 🤯🎁. I mean, who doesn't want to open a present without knowing what's inside? It's like a treasure hunt, and they're already into that now with Pokémon Go 😂. The fact that it's just $10-$40 makes it accessible too. My son is really into collectibles right now, so this would be a dream come true for him. I'd have to keep an eye on my wallet though, haha! 💸 But honestly, if it brings in some joy and excitement for the kids, that's all that matters.

🤯 I'm dying over here! This Chain Mail Unclaimed thing is literally the coolest idea ever 🎁. Who wouldn't want to buy a mystery package that could potentially contain anything from a green wig to a half lion, half Demogorgon creature? 😂 It's like a real-life game of "what's in the box?" and I'm obsessed 💖. Emma Zielinski is a genius for turning this weird concept into a huge hit 🙌. And can we talk about how adorable it is that she collaborated with her husband on this business idea? ❤️ It just goes to show that following your passion and taking risks can lead to amazing things! 💪
