CityPlace Doral is Getting Ready to Fiesta this November

This Saturday, CityPlace Doral in Miami will transform into a vibrant celebration of life and death as it hosts its fourth annual "Day of the Dead" (or Dia de los Muertos) event. The popular entertainment hub has been preparing for weeks with colorful decorations that pay homage to Mexican culture.

The festivities will take center stage at the Fountain Plaza, where guests can enjoy traditional Latin music, dance, and food sampling. Visitors can also browse through El Mercado Market, filled with unique shopping opportunities. Magena Caballero, organizer of the event, emphasizes the significance of this celebration: "Day of the Dead is a time for loved ones to reunite, so we want to create an atmosphere that brings people together."

To get into the spirit, CityPlace Doral has set up papel picado and sugar skulls adorned with marigold flowers throughout the center. However, the real fun begins on November 1st from 6 to 9 pm. The event is free and open to everyone, featuring folkloric performances, live music, shopping, and more.

This year's celebration has an added twist – local comedian Rafael Leidenz ("El BruJodedor") will perform his impersonation of the legendary singer Juan Gabriel, ensuring a night of laughter for all ages. Caballero stresses that this is an event suitable for families: "It's truly an event where everyone can enjoy the music and dance together."

For those interested in attending, mark your calendars for Saturday, November 1st, from 6 to 9 pm at CityPlace Doral. Don't miss out on the colorful celebration of life and death that will fill the Fountain Plaza with vibrant energy.

meh, Day of the Dead party sounds kinda cool 🎉🕷️. love the papel picado and sugar skulls, but why do they have to make it a weekend thing? can't just have a nice evening celebration without turning it into a 2-day festi 😒. plus, who's gonna pay for all that food sampling? cityplace shoulda thought of that before they invited Magena Caballero to organize the whole shebang 🤑

I'm down with celebrating Dia de los Muertos at CityPlace Doral! 🎉🕷️ It's cool that they're doing it right, with all the traditional decorations and music. But, I gotta say, I'm a bit skeptical about how commercialized it might get. I hope they don't turn the whole vibe into just an excuse for shopping. El Mercado Market sounds like a great idea though! 🛍️ Maybe we can even find some cool souvenirs to take back home? And having Rafael Leidenz do his Juan Gabriel impersonation will probably be hilarious. But, what's up with all the sugar skulls everywhere? A bit too much for me... 😊

omg I love how CityPlace Doral is getting into the spirit 🎉! The papel picado and sugar skulls are such a great touch - it's gonna be so Instagrammable 😂. But what I'm really excited about is that Rafael Leidenz is performing as Juan Gabriel, that sounds like so much fun! 🤣 I've heard he's hilarious in his impersonation, can't wait to see him on stage. And yay for the family-friendly vibe - El Mercado Market with unique shopping opportunities sounds like a great idea too 💸. Should be a really fun night out for all ages 👥!

I think its pretty cool how CityPlace Doral is giving it's own spin to this traditional Mexican holiday. I mean, who doesn't love a good celebration? I've had the chance to check some of the decorations online and they look amazing 🎉🕷️. The fact that they're making it free and open to everyone is super awesome too! I'm actually thinking of bringing my squad over to check out the papel picado, live music, and shopping. And Rafael Leidenz impersonating Juan Gabriel sounds like a total blast 💃🏽😂. It's great to see CityPlace Doral embracing this cultural celebration with open arms and making it accessible to everyone. Can't wait for November 1st!

Ugh, another event taking over CityPlace Doral 🤦‍♀️. I mean, don't get me wrong, Day of the Dead is a beautiful celebration, but do we really need to cram it all into one night? It feels like they're trying to be too extra 😅. And, honestly, who thought papel picado and sugar skulls were a good combo for decorations? It's like they took every cliche from Mexican culture and mashed them together 🤯. I guess if you're into that sort of thing, it might be fun... but personally, I'd rather have some less crowded events at the mall 😴.

I'm also looking forward to El Mercado Market – shopping can be such a fun activity for kids, and this event offers something unique and special. It's wonderful that Magena Caballero is emphasizing the importance of reunions and community, especially during this celebration. Fingers crossed they have plenty of kid-friendly food options too! 🤞

I'm so stoked to see CityPlace Doral bring this amazing event to Miami 🎉🎊! The idea of celebrating "Day of the Dead" is so cool, it's like a fusion of Halloween and Thanksgiving vibes ☠️🦃. I love how they're incorporating traditional Latin music, dance, and food into the festivities – it's gonna be such a fun experience for everyone 🍴🎶.

I'm also super excited to see Rafael Leidenz perform as Juan Gabriel 😂👏 – his impersonation is gonna bring so much energy to the event! And the papel picado and sugar skulls are just the cherry on top 🎀💀. I think it's awesome that they're making this event family-friendly, too – it's a great way to bring people together and celebrate life in all its forms ❤️.

I'm not sure what's more appealing, the free event or the unique shopping opportunities at El Mercado Market 😉🛍️. Either way, I know November 1st is gonna be lit 🔥!

I'm so down for this! Been hearing about Dia de los Muertos events popping up everywhere but this one sounds like a total fiesta 🎉🕷️ I mean who doesn't love a good sugar skull? The idea of papel picado and all that jazz decor is giving me major Halloween vibes but with an extra layer of cultural significance. Rafael Leidenz impersonating Juan Gabriel will bring the laughs, for sure! But what really gets me excited is how inclusive this event sounds – families can actually enjoy it together 🌈👫 I'm thinking of bringing my niece and nephews to check out El Mercado Market... gotta get some new outfits 😂

I gotta be the only one who thinks Day of the Dead should be avoided, not celebrated 🤔. All these sugar skulls and papel picado just seem like a bunch of touristy nonsense to me. And what's with the whole "loved ones reunite" vibe? It sounds way too sappy for my taste. I mean, can't we just leave the dead alone and focus on living our best lives instead? 🎉💀 I know it's a big part of Mexican culture, but honestly, I'd rather not participate in any festivities that involve all that morbid stuff...

Omg I'm so down for this 🎉🕷️! A Day of the Dead event sounds like an amazing way to celebrate life, and it's awesome that CityPlace Doral is doing its part to bring people together 💖. The thought of papel picado, sugar skulls, and traditional Latin music got me super excited 🎶. And can we talk about how cool it is that Rafael Leidenz will be impersonating Juan Gabriel? I've heard he's hilarious 😂! I'll def be there with my fam on Nov 1st from 6 to 9 pm - who else is coming?!

🎉🕷️ The world is full of pain, but it's also beautiful. I think this Dia de los Muertos event is a great way to show people that life is precious, even when we're gone 🌹💖

I'm not sure how I feel about this event 😊... On one hand, it's a great way to showcase Mexican culture in Miami, especially since there are so many Latin American communities here. But at the same time, I've heard some of the festivals can get pretty intense and overwhelming for tourists 🤯. Adding live music and traditional food is a big plus, but I hope they don't forget to include some fun activities for younger kids 👧... And, omg, an impersonator of Juan Gabriel? That sounds like so much fun! 😂
