I'm so fed up with this
Co-op's decision! I mean, who gets turned down for a basic service like will writing just because they were born in Russia? I know some might say it's about being cautious, but come on, that's just discriminatory
. It doesn't matter where someone was born, as long as they're not actively involved with the Russian government and are following the law, they should be able to get the service they need without any hassle.
I'm all for companies being responsible and complying with regulations, but this blanket refusal is just ridiculous
. And what's even more annoying is that it sets a bad precedent for other companies to follow. It's not fair to penalize someone just because of where their parents were born
. We need to think about the bigger picture here and make sure individual rights aren't compromised by overcautious regulations.
It's also weird that HM Treasury says its regulations prioritize location rather than birthplace, but if companies are gonna do it anyway, they should at least be consistent
. It's unpalatable, as one critic said, to pay a price just because of your birth location
.
