Cole Kelly, Mason Martin and Neuqua Valley earn statement victory against Bolingbrook

Neuqua Valley pulls off thrilling comeback over Bolingbrook at When Sides Collide.

In a high-energy showdown that showcased the nation's top prospects, Cole Kelly and Mason Martin led Neuqua Valley to a statement victory against Bolingbrook. The Wildcats, ranked No. 9 in the state, edged out the Raiders, ranked No. 8, 75-69.

Kelly, a 6-6 guard who is considered one of the top players in Illinois, put on an impressive display, scoring 29 points, grabbing 11 rebounds, and blocking three shots. The sophomore sensation took it upon himself to rally his team after they trailed by as many as 14 points in the second quarter.

"I was guarded a lot, but I wasn't really guarding him," Kelly said of the Bolingbrook pressure defense. "We put that aside, and it was my team against his team."

The Neuqua Valley bench responded with several key contributions from Martin, who scored 28 points, Lucas Balgro chipped in nine, and Carter Coviello and Arshil Khimani kept the Raiders' high-intensity pressure defense at bay.

Meanwhile, Bolingbrook's Brady Pettigrew led the charge for the Raiders, scoring 26 points. TJ Williams added 19 points, but the team ultimately fell short against Neuqua Valley's well-balanced attack.

Coach Todd Sutton credited Kelly and Martin with making a difference in the comeback victory. "They outplayed us in the second half, obviously," Bolingbrook coach Rob Brost said. "We got a little complacent, then we missed some shots that we would normally make."

Sutton praised his team's performance, saying, "Our guys down there block out and do everything right, but they just don't have the size."

As for Kelly, he reveled in the win, stating, "Coming out with the win makes it even more sweet. I live for the big games and big crowds with all eyes on me."

The Neuqua Valley victory cements the team's status as one of the top programs in Illinois, but this performance serves as a testament to Kelly and Martin's individual promise as well as their combined potential to lead their team to great things.

Wow! 🀯 That Cole Kelly is straight fire, 29 points and 11 rebounds? πŸ’ͺ The way he took control of that game in the second quarter was insane! Interesting how Neuqua Valley's bench came through with key contributions too, it was a total team effort! 😎

omg u guys cant beleev the comeback Neuqua Valley pulled off!! Cole Kelly & Mason Martin are literally the real MVPs 29+ points & 11+ rebounds from Kelly is insane, but Martin putting in 28 points is no joke!!! Bolingbrook was leading by 14 in the 2nd quarter, but Kelly took over & led his team to a thriling victory 🀯! I'm so hyped for Neuqua Valley's chances now, they def deserve their top spot πŸ’ͺ

idk how these teams were ranked so high they got destroyed by each other πŸ˜’. neuqua valley played some decent ball but it was still super lopsided at times, especially in the 2nd quarter when bolingbrook was up by like 14 points. cole kelly is pretty talented tho πŸ€”, his stats are insane and he's definitely a top player in illinois, but he shouldn't be carrying an entire team to victory all the time πŸ™„. also, it's not just about him, mason martin was a beast too, 28 points for him? that's crazy πŸ”₯. gotta say tho, both teams are pretty overrated if they got destroyed like that

🀯 so i was just thinking about how amazing cole kelly is 🀩 he literally carried his team to victory on his own 😲 29 points, 11 rebounds, and blocking shots? that's insane! πŸ‘ what's even crazier is how he rallied his team after they were down by 14 points in the second quarter πŸ’ͺ it's clear he's got that fire πŸ”₯ in him. and mason martin wasn't too shabby either πŸ€“ scoring 28 points, that dude's on another level 🀯

just saw the most epic comeback story from neuqua valley! 🀯 cole kelly is literally a superhero on the court, scoring 29 points and blocking shots like it's no big deal πŸ’ͺ. and mason martin was right there with him, putting up 28 points of his own 🌟. i'm not surprised they won, though - their teamwork and strategy were on point all game long πŸ”₯. it just goes to show that even when things seem hopeless (like being down by 14), you can still come back swinging πŸ’ͺ. props to coach sutton for keeping it real about the team's size, but hey, talent wins out in the end πŸ†. anyway, i'm hyped for neuqua valley's next game - can't wait to see what they do! πŸ˜„

πŸ€ what a game!! Cole Kelly is literally on fire right now πŸ”₯ I mean 29 points, 11 rebounds, blocking shots? he's like a superhero out there! Mason Martin stepped up big time too, 28 points? that kid's got skills πŸ’ͺ the Neuqua Valley bench was ON POINT too, Lucas Balgro and Carter Coviello were crushing it 🎯. Bolingbrook just couldn't keep up with those two... I'm loving the comeback story πŸ™Œ this team's gonna be huge in Illinois πŸ”₯

So they had this huge comeback game where Neuqua Valley beat Bolingbrook 75-69... It's crazy how Cole Kelly just took over the game, scoring 29 points and grabbing rebounds too! 🀯 I'm not surprised though, he's supposed to be one of the top players in Illinois.

I like how his teammate Mason Martin stepped up too, scoring 28 points. They're like a dynamic duo on the court! 🎾 But what really impressed me was how they came back from being down by 14 points in the second quarter. That's some serious teamwork and strategy right there!

It's clear that Neuqua Valley has a strong team, but it's also cool to see Cole Kelly and Mason Martin shine individually. They're like the stars of their own show! πŸ’«

OMG u guys Neuqua Valley totally dominated the court 🀯! Cole Kelly & Mason Martin were on fire πŸ”₯, like, 29 + 28 points respectively? πŸ’₯ That's insane! And can we talk about how they took it upon themselves to rally their team after being down by 14? πŸ’ͺ Unbelievable comeback πŸ”„! Neuqua Valley is def one of the top programs in Illinois now πŸ“ˆ. Kelly & Martin are the real MVPs πŸ†, and I'm low-key obsessed with their gameplay 😍. Coach Todd Sutton knows what's up πŸ‘. This win is a total game-changer for the team πŸ’₯!

Man, I'm lovin' how Cole Kelly took charge and turned the game around for Neuqua Valley πŸ™Œ! It's all about confidence and believing in yourself, you know? He didn't let the pressure defense get to him, and instead, he used it as fuel to rally his team πŸ’ͺ. That's what I call a true leader.

And have you noticed how Martin stepped up and made some clutch plays too? 🀩 It just goes to show that we don't have to be alone in our struggles – we can surround ourselves with people who believe in us, just like the Neuqua Valley bench did for Kelly. That's what teamwork is all about!

It's also a reminder that even when things seem impossible, like being down by 14 points, we always have a choice: give up or fight back πŸ’₯. It's all about attitude and perseverance. And let's be real, having that killer instinct in the clutch is just as important as having the skills to back it up 😎.

man, what a game 🀯! Neuqua Valley totally brought it on Bolingbrook and turned that 14-point deficit into a W πŸ’ͺ! Cole Kelly is a beast on the court, I'm not surprised he went off for 29 points and grabbed 11 rebounds 🌟. And Mason Martin? Forget about it, dude's got skills 😎! He and the rest of the team showed great heart and teamwork to come back from that big hole.

It's crazy how much hype these high school games get, but honestly, it's dope to see the next gen of athletes killing it πŸ€. Neuqua Valley might be one of the top programs in Illinois now, but Kelly and Martin are definitely going to make a name for themselves. Can't wait to see what they do next season! 😁

Wow 🀯! I'm lovin' Cole Kelly's confidence after that big win! He sounds like a total leader on the court πŸ’ͺ🏽! And dude, 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks? That's straight fire πŸ”₯! Mason Martin putting in 28 points too is a major key to Neuqua Valley's success πŸ“ˆ. It's clear these guys have that special chemistry going on πŸ’•.

πŸ™Œ This comeback story is wild! I'm loving Cole Kelly's mentality - he took it upon himself to turn the game around after his team trailed by 14 points in the second quarter 😲. And Mason Martin's stats are straight fire πŸ”₯! Neuqua Valley's bench really stepped up too, with Balgro and Coviello keeping those Bolingbrook defenders on their toes 🀯. It's clear these two players are a force to be reckoned with - their chemistry is undeniable πŸ’•. The Raiders put up a great fight, but ultimately came up short πŸ†. Can't wait to see what the rest of the season holds for Neuqua Valley and their dynamic duo! πŸ‘

It looks like Cole Kelly is really living up to the hype πŸ’₯! When he stepped onto that court, it was like his team had 12 players instead of just one 🀯! And that comeback? Forget about it - it's a testament to what happens when you've got heart and determination πŸ’ͺ. As the great Nelson Mandela once said, "The greatest glory in living lies not in never falling, but in rising every time we fall."

🀩 I was thinking about how some teams can get complacent when they're up by 14 points... like in that game at When Sides Collide, Bolingbrook let off the gas and Neuqua Valley capitalized on it πŸš€. It's crazy how Cole Kelly took it upon himself to rally his team after being guarded a lot πŸ˜…. I mean, he still managed to score 29 points and grab 11 rebounds - that's insane! πŸ‘ And what can I say about Mason Martin? 28 points is no joke πŸ’₯. These two are like a dynamic duo 🀝... we'll be watching them for sure.

Cole Kelly is a beast 🀯πŸ’ͺ... literally. 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks? Unbeatable. And he led by example after they were down by 14. I mean, who else can say that? 😎 The Neuqua Valley bench was on point too, with Martin bringing the heat for 28 points. The Bolingbrook defense got destroyed, but it's not all about individual talent - their team played well together and made adjustments to stay in it. Still, Kelly and Martin are a force to be reckoned with 🀫

πŸ€πŸ’₯ just watched that game and Cole Kelly is straight fire πŸ”₯! 29 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 blocks? 🀯 what's not to love about this guy? 😎 he took the ball by the horns when his team was down, no cap πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ. Neuqua Valley's bench brought some serious heat too πŸ”ͺπŸ’« with those key contributions from Mason Martin πŸ“ˆ and Lucas Balgro πŸ‘. Bolingbrook had some tough shots, but they just couldn't find their way... lesson learned for them 😊
