Community group: St. Paul police use of force against protesters violated policy

Man I'm just thinking, we gotta be careful not to conflate peaceful protest with violent rioting. You see what's happening here, a community is standing up for their rights, demanding due process, but our law enforcement is treating them like enemies of the state? That's not how it goes down. We need to listen to both sides and work towards understanding each other. The real lesson here is that power can be abused when we don't hold those in authority accountable. It's time for us to have these uncomfortable conversations and demand justice, not just for ourselves but for future generations 🤝💡

🤬 it's so sickening to see what went down at that protest in St Paul. like, community members are saying that the police used collective punishment tactics - basically targeting peaceful protesters with excessive force & pepper spray just 'cause they were there 🚫. and now the city council is calling for an independent investigation which is a good start, but it's not enough... we need real change here. 💪
