Costco sues Trump administration over sweeping emergency tariff powers

Ugh man 😩 I'm telling ya, back in my day we didn't have all these crazy trade wars 🤯! It seems like every time there's a problem, someone's gotta go and impose tariffs on imports 🚫. I mean, what's next? Putting a price tag on our air? 💨

Anyway, Costco is taking the Trump admin to court over this stuff, claiming they overstepped their authority 🤔. And honestly, I think they're right 🙌! The whole thing just seems so shady 🤑. I mean, who needs tariffs anyway? We've got enough problems with inflation and all that jazz 💸.

But you know what's even crazier? The fact that importers like Costco might not be able to get their refunds back even if the tariffs are found to be unlawful 😳. That's just messed up 🤯! It's like they're saying "hey, we made a mistake, but you're still stuck with the money!" 😒 Not cool.

I hope the court throws out this whole thing and gets some sense into our politicians 👊. We need someone who actually cares about consumers over there 🙏!

🤔 So the big question here is: who gets to decide on tariffs? The White House or Congress? It seems like Costco is saying that the President overstepped his bounds with this one, and I gotta agree. The whole thing sounds a bit fishy, you know? Like, what even constitutes an "unusual and extraordinary threat"? And who decides that?

I'm also kinda curious about why the US Supreme Court was skeptical of the White House's position. You'd think they'd be more on board with the President's tariffs, considering he's their guy. But I guess even in conservative circles, there are some who don't think this is a good idea.

It's also pretty interesting that Costco is worried about not getting refunds if these tariffs get deemed unconstitutional. That's like a big financial risk for them, and they're trying to protect themselves by suing. Not sure how this all plays out, but it'll be fun to watch! 🤑

I'm so frustrated about this Costco thing... 🤯 They're really taking on the Trump admin in court over these tariffs. It seems kinda silly that they can't just get refunds back after 314 days, I mean who wouldn't want their money back if it's taken unfairly? 💸 The idea of a national emergency to impose tariffs doesn't seem right either, sounds like more presidential power than Congress should have. 🤔
