Hundreds of anti-far-right protesters overwhelmed a small rally in support of the Trump administration's latest immigration crackdown in Minneapolis, where conservative influencers were gathering to show solidarity with the contentious policies.
In an attempt to hold sway over the crowd, a prominent far-right activist took to the microphone, but their message was drowned out by a sea of counter-protesters waving signs and banners opposing the latest measures.
The Governor's office had announced earlier in the day that National Guard troops were being mobilised on standby, ready to provide assistance to law enforcement if needed. However, so far, no deployment has been made to the city streets.

It's like, we're all human beings here, right? And can't we just try to understand each other's perspectives without resorting to shouting matches and counter-protests? I'm not sure what's going on with the Trump administration's policies, but it feels like they're creating more problems than they're solving. 
they were so prepared and organized, it was like they had a plan 
it's crazy how quickly things escalated too... i mean the gov announced the national guard was coming but nothing happened 
and meanwhile the far right activists are just trying to shout over everyone else 
anyway, kudos to the counter protesters for standing up for what they believe in 
i feel like everyone's just so passionate about these issues but can't we all just get along? 
i think it's crazy that people are taking a stand against this immigration crackdown, because let's be real, who doesn't love the idea of family being together no matter what 
. and honestly, some of the signs and banners were really creative and eye-catching 
. but at the same time, i can see why some people might feel threatened or scared by all the hate speech going on 
. anyway, i think it's great that the Governor's office is keeping a close eye on things and having National Guard troops ready to help out if needed 
. let's just hope everyone stays safe and calm

I'm so frustrated with this whole situation! Like, can't we all just get along? 
I mean, who needs that kind of hate speech and division? It's already bad enough when people are divided on stuff like climate change or healthcare... now it's getting to a point where it's literally affecting real lives. I feel for the immigrants being targeted by these new policies... they're just trying to make a living and start anew, but instead they're facing all this resistance. 
And what really gets me is that some of these far-right activists are using social media to spread their hateful messages... it's like, how hard is it to have a real conversation in person?

meanwhile these counter-protesters were out here waving signs & banners & makin a point about not lettin far-right ideologies run amok 
i gotta say tho, I'm so proud of the ppl who stood up 4 what they believe in despite the heat 
it's all about free speech but also havin the right 2 express ur own opinions without bein harassed

. I just wish people could find common ground and talk things out instead of resorting to aggression.
. I'm sure the counter-protesters will handle it without any issues - they've got more passion and conviction in their little fingers than those far-right folks have in their whole heads

. Who needs law enforcement when you've got a sea of signs and banners that say "no to xenophobia"? It's time for these far-right groups to take a seat and listen to what real Americans have to say
