I don't think we know enough about this guy, but that he's an Afghan national who just showed up here three years ago is already weird. And no ties to extremist groups or anything? I'm worried about our national security but at the same time, I want to know more about this guy and why he did what he did . man... this is just so messed up my mind can't even process what's happening here in the nation's capital. it's like, we're living in a world where senseless violence can happen anywhere, anytime. and it's not just about the victims or their families, it's also about how this guy managed to walk into a place with access to so many people and just start shooting without any apparent motive i mean, what even drives someone to do something like that? is it desperation? frustration? boredom? or is it just a complete loss of empathy for human life?

and then there's the fact that this guy was an Afghan national living in the US for nearly three years and no one suspected anything i guess we're all just so caught up in our own lives, we can't even begin to fathom what it might be like to be in someone else's shoes. anyway, my thoughts are with the victims and their loved ones

I'm guessing we'll get a bunch of politicians jumping on stage talking about "national security" and "anti-terrorism laws"... meanwhile, the real issue is how easy it is for anyone to bring themselves into this country without getting vetted .

It's all so... predictable. Another random shooting and suddenly our attention spans are like, "Oh no, another terrorist attack!" but what about all the guns that get sold every day? or how about addressing the actual causes of violence in this country?
