I feel so bad for the people living at the Leland House, they're already struggling and now they might get evicted because of some paperwork issues . It's crazy how quickly things can spiral out of control . I think it's great that there are people trying to help, like Ara Darakjian and the tenants who are speaking up about their concerns . We need more places like this where artists and misfits can thrive, you know? Affordable housing is super important and we should be doing everything we can to protect it . Maybe this situation will bring some positive change to Detroit, we can only hope .
man this is so sad the Leland House has been like a haven for people who cant afford anywhere else its not fair that ppl are gettin evicted just cuz they cant pay a million bucks in bills i mean who gets to decide what happens to affordable housing in detroit? does it only affect low-income fams or is it everyone's problem? we need to talk about preserving community spaces and making sure the people who need them most are protected i wish there was a way for ppl like Ara Darakjian to understand the impact of buying up affordable housing in detroit its like gentrification on steroids what happens to all the ppl who live here now? do they just get priced out or whats gonna happen to them?
