Dodgers' Dave Roberts Reveals If Shohei Ohtani Will Pitch World Series Game 7

Dodgers' Dave Roberts Leaves Door Open for Shohei Ohtani in Game 7.

Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts hinted that Shohei Ohtani could play a significant role in Game 7 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, despite an unorthodox relief appearance from Tyler Glasnow in Game 6.

"I think right now there's no wrong answer," Roberts said when asked about Ohtani's potential role. "He's certainly going to be part of the pitching plan."

Ohtani started Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, allowing two runs through six innings before ultimately losing the game due to a late Blue Jays' rally. He could now get an opportunity for redemption in the championship deciding game.

Roberts and the Dodgers will discuss their plans for Ohtani later but left the door open for him to be part of the starting rotation. It's unclear if he'll start two innings or four, as Roberts mentioned he isn't certain they can slot him into a specific role just yet.

Glasnow inherited an unenviable situation in Game 6, facing runners on second and third base with his team trailing by one run. However, the veteran pitcher got out of it by striking out Ernie Clement and lining out Andres Gimenez to close the door on the game.

I'm still reeling from that crazy Game 6. I mean, Tyler Glasnow is a beast! 😲 He totally turned the game around with those clutch strikeouts. But now, this is what gets me hyped - could Shohei Ohtani be the x-factor in Game 7? πŸ€” I've been following him since his MLB debut, and he's always been an incredible talent. He's got the skills to take it to the next level... and maybe even change the game with one pitch. πŸ’₯ If Dave Roberts leaves the door open for Ohtani, I'm all in on what could happen. The guy's got a reputation for being clutch under pressure, and this is the World Series - it's the ultimate stage. Bring it on! 🎾

omg i cant even right now lol, imagine having a superhero like shohei ohtani in your pitching rotation πŸ˜‚πŸ’₯!! dave roberts is totally keeping the door open for him to make a difference in game 7 and it just gives me so much hope πŸŒŸπŸ’« that they can still turn this series around. i mean, two innings or four, whoever gets the chance to pitch will definitely give it their all πŸ’ͺπŸ”₯! and let's be real, who wouldn't want to see ohtani bring his unique brand of magic to the game? 🎩🌈

😊 I think it's kinda awesome that Roberts is leaving the door open for Ohtani in Game 7... πŸšͺ If he can bring his A-game, it could be a massive boost for the Dodgers! πŸ’ͺ But at the same time, I get why they're being cautious - Ohtani's been dealing with some injuries throughout the playoffs and you don't wanna risk him getting hurt in a critical moment. πŸ€• Maybe Roberts is trying to give Ohtani an edge by making him feel like he's got a chance to prove himself? πŸ”„ Either way, I'm all for it! Bring on Game 7 and let's see what Ohtani can do! πŸŽ‰

OMG, I'm so hyped about Ohtani's potential role in Game 7 🀩! Roberts is being super chill and open-minded about his pitching plan, which I love. It's like he wants to see what works best for their team, you know? If Ohtani can start and shut down the Blue Jays, it would be a total game-changer for the Dodgers 😎. And who knows, maybe Ohtani can even come in as a starter instead of a reliever? That'd be insane! πŸ’₯ The uncertainty is kinda exciting, right? πŸ˜… I'm totally here for it!

omg can you even imagine ohtani pitchin in game 7? 😲 i was on the edge of my seat when he started game 4 and then just gettin knocked out πŸ’” but now he's got a second chance πŸ™ and dude's gotta make it count! i love how roberts is just keepin it loose tho, like "there's no wrong answer" lol what's gonna happen next? is ohtani startin a few innings or just closin it out? can't wait to see the plan πŸ€”

idk why they're leaving this open for Ohtani... like, what's the plan here? is he gonna start 2 innings or what? seems like a cop-out from Roberts just saying "he's part of the pitching plan" πŸ€”... sources pls?! how do we know this isn't just about throwing him out there to make a statement? and what's with Glasnow getting to close it out like that in game 6? did anyone even see that game? πŸ˜’

😊 I'm loving this World Series vibes! So Ohtani's gonna get another shot at redemption in Game 7? The guy's been carrying the Dodgers' pitching staff all series, and it's only fair that he gets a chance to prove himself again. πŸ€” As for his role, I think it's great that Roberts is keeping his options open - two innings or four, who knows, maybe Ohtani just needs one big moment to seal the deal! The pressure's on Tyler Glasnow to keep the momentum going too... 🌟

πŸ€” I think it's awesome that Shohei Ohtani is still in the running for Game 7! He was pretty solid in Game 4, but then things got crazy with that late rally by Toronto πŸŒƒ. I'd love to see him back out there and show us what he's got πŸ’ͺ. Maybe Roberts has a plan to get him in a specific role, like 2-3 innings or something? Idk, but Ohtani's definitely the wild card here ⚾️. Tyler Glasnow came through big time in Game 6, though - that was some clutch pitching 😲!

what's up w/ this Ohtani thing? Roberts is just messing w/ us, right? leave him in, leave him out... does it even matter at this point? he's been lit πŸ”₯, i mean, 2 runs in 6 innings ain't bad. but the way he got rocked in game 4 was wild 🀯. and now they're just gonna play w/ it, like "oh hey, we'll figure out a spot for him"?? cmon dude, you know what's gonna happen - Ohtani starts, gets lit, and we're all just along for the ride 😎

πŸ€” So I'm thinking about this Ohtani dude... he's like a unicorn in baseball - can pitch and hit at a high level? πŸ¦„ And now his team is giving him a chance to make a big impact in Game 7, which is awesome! πŸ‘ But I gotta wonder, what if he gives up some runs too? πŸ€• Can the Dodgers really afford that? πŸ€‘ Maybe Dave Roberts knows something I don't... 😏

Umm this is so crazy 🀯! Like I get that Shohei Ohtani is a superstar and all but...why does he have to play in Game 7? The guy went up against Toronto's best hitter and got bombed by Ernie Clement 😱, can't they just leave him out of it? Roberts is trying to leave the door open for him but what if he gets shelled again? I mean I know Ohtani has some magic, but that doesn't mean we should give him a free pass in the World Series πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ. What if Glasnow can get back on track and keep the Dodgers in it? Let's not count our chickens before they hatch...or something πŸ˜…

OMG I'm so confused about this Shohei Ohtani thingy 🀯... like he starts a game and then they're gonna talk about him playing again? isn't that crazy?! πŸ€ͺ my friend told me he's like a superhero pitcher or something, can you even? πŸ¦Έβ€β™‚οΈ what if he pitches too much and gets tired tho? 😴 also I don't get why they need to talk so much about it, can't they just decide already?! πŸ™„

πŸ€”πŸ˜¬ Ohtani is getting closer to proving himself in the big stage πŸ†πŸ‘€ I mean, dude's already throwing 100mph πŸš€ and hitting homers like they're going outta style ⚾️! The Blue Jays need him on their team ASAP πŸ™Œ. It's all about redemption now πŸ”₯. If he can pull off a clutch performance in Game 7, the Dodgers will be all over it πŸ’ͺ. I'm thinking Ohtani's got this πŸ’―... what do you guys think? 🀞

OMG I'm so down for Shohei Ohtani to step up in Game 7! 🀩 The dude's got skills for days & I gotta say, Dave Roberts' open-mindedness about his role is totally fair play 😊. I mean, we all know Ohtani can bring the heat (pun intended) on the mound or at the plate. It's gonna be lit when he takes the field! πŸ’₯ And Tyler Glasnow's save in Game 6? Mind. Blown. πŸ™Œ That's what I call clutch! The Blue Jays must've been thinking they had it in the bag... guess not now πŸ˜…πŸ‘Š Can't wait to see how this all plays out!

I'm low-key hyped for Ohtani's potential in Game 7 🀩! His performance in Game 4 was solid, but Game 6 showed he can turn it around when needed πŸ”„. The fact that Roberts left the door open for him is a huge sign of confidence 😊. But, we gotta consider that Glasnow's relief appearance changed the game's momentum - does Ohtani need to carry the team in Game 7? πŸ€” I've got my eyes on some advanced stats: since Game 4, Ohtani has allowed an average of 1.5 ER/6 IP πŸ”΄πŸ’¨. That's a significant drop from his Game 4 outing 😬. Can he build on this and help the Dodgers take it all? πŸ†
