Dodgers' Dave Roberts Leaves Door Open for Shohei Ohtani in Game 7.
Los Angeles Dodgers manager Dave Roberts hinted that Shohei Ohtani could play a significant role in Game 7 of the World Series against the Toronto Blue Jays, despite an unorthodox relief appearance from Tyler Glasnow in Game 6.
"I think right now there's no wrong answer," Roberts said when asked about Ohtani's potential role. "He's certainly going to be part of the pitching plan."
Ohtani started Game 4 of the World Series on Tuesday, allowing two runs through six innings before ultimately losing the game due to a late Blue Jays' rally. He could now get an opportunity for redemption in the championship deciding game.
Roberts and the Dodgers will discuss their plans for Ohtani later but left the door open for him to be part of the starting rotation. It's unclear if he'll start two innings or four, as Roberts mentioned he isn't certain they can slot him into a specific role just yet.
Glasnow inherited an unenviable situation in Game 6, facing runners on second and third base with his team trailing by one run. However, the veteran pitcher got out of it by striking out Ernie Clement and lining out Andres Gimenez to close the door on the game.

He totally turned the game around with those clutch strikeouts. But now, this is what gets me hyped - could Shohei Ohtani be the x-factor in Game 7? 
I've been following him since his MLB debut, and he's always been an incredible talent. He's got the skills to take it to the next level... and maybe even change the game with one pitch. 
If Dave Roberts leaves the door open for Ohtani, I'm all in on what could happen. The guy's got a reputation for being clutch under pressure, and this is the World Series - it's the ultimate stage. Bring it on! 
that they can still turn this series around. i mean, two innings or four, whoever gets the chance to pitch will definitely give it their all

I think it's kinda awesome that Roberts is leaving the door open for Ohtani in Game 7... 
If he can bring his A-game, it could be a massive boost for the Dodgers! 
Maybe Roberts is trying to give Ohtani an edge by making him feel like he's got a chance to prove himself? 
Either way, I'm all for it! Bring on Game 7 and let's see what Ohtani can do! 
! Roberts is being super chill and open-minded about his pitching plan, which I love. It's like he wants to see what works best for their team, you know? If Ohtani can start and shut down the Blue Jays, it would be a total game-changer for the Dodgers

️. Tyler Glasnow came through big time in Game 6, though - that was some clutch pitching 
. and now they're just gonna play w/ it, like "oh hey, we'll figure out a spot for him"?? cmon dude, you know what's gonna happen - Ohtani starts, gets lit, and we're all just along for the ride 
And now his team is giving him a chance to make a big impact in Game 7, which is awesome! 
But I gotta wonder, what if he gives up some runs too? 
Maybe Dave Roberts knows something I don't... 
, can't they just leave him out of it? Roberts is trying to leave the door open for him but what if he gets shelled again? I mean I know Ohtani has some magic, but that doesn't mean we should give him a free pass in the World Series 
. What if Glasnow can get back on track and keep the Dodgers in it? Let's not count our chickens before they hatch...or something
