DoorDash customers in Miami can now receive their food orders from robots

Miami Foodies, Get Ready for a New Era in Delivery - Robots Are Here!

DoorDash is taking its robot delivery service to Miami, marking the third city in the US where customers can receive their food orders from automated robots. The company's push towards a "multi-modal system" aims to make human, robot, and drone deliveries at scale, which will benefit both businesses and consumers.

As part of this initiative, DoorDash is partnering with Coco Robotics, a leading provider of self-driving robots, and DashMart, its own delivery-only convenience store chain. This means customers can now receive orders from national grocers and retailers alongside restaurants, providing more options for grocery and household items.

DoorDash Labs, the company's dedicated robotics division, has been exploring new partnerships to meet increased demand while adopting environmentally friendly methods of delivery. The division has already begun operating drone deliveries in Charlotte with Wing and recently introduced its own in-house developed delivery robot called Dot.

Dot, a sleek and efficient robot designed for quick neighborhood trips, is currently being piloted in Arizona and is expected to fulfill cheaper deliveries. According to DoorDash, the robot will complement human staff rather than replace them, ensuring that consumers continue to receive excellent customer service.

As the food delivery landscape continues to evolve, companies like GrubHub are also exploring hyper-local deliveries using autonomous technology. The company partnered with Avride, an autonomous robot delivery company, to scale up its existing robot delivery offering on college campuses, including Ohio State University.

With robots now available in Miami and Arizona, it's clear that the future of food delivery is going to be shaped by automation and innovation. Whether it's Dot or Coco Robotics leading the charge, one thing is for sure - customers will have more options than ever before when it comes to receiving their food orders.

Ugh ๐Ÿค– I don't know if I'm ready for robots taking over my food delivery game yet! I mean, what's next? Robots delivering my groceries too?! It's like they're going to replace all the human staff and just leave us with... nothing ๐Ÿ˜ฉ. And what about the environment? All these drones and robots are gonna pollute the air and make a mess ๐ŸŒซ๏ธ. Can't we just stick with our human delivery guys who at least can have a chat with you while they're handing over your food? ๐Ÿ’ฌ This whole robot thing is just too much for me ๐Ÿคฏ...

Ugh, great, just what we need more robots ruining the whole food delivery experience ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ˜’ I mean, who needs human interaction and a personal touch when you can have a robot with a broken arm waving at you? ๐Ÿšซ And don't even get me started on the noise pollution these things are going to bring. I'm all for innovation and tech advancements, but come on, can't we just stick with good old-fashioned human delivery guys? They may not be as fast or efficient, but they're still human and won't start playing "Who Let the Dogs Out" at 6 am every morning ๐ŸŽถ๐Ÿ‘€

so yeah, robots taking over food delivery in miami... i think its cool they're partnering with dashmart and coco robotics to make it happen ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’จ. its like, a multi-modal system for all, not just restaurants and foodies. i mean, who doesn't love the idea of getting their groceries and household items delivered by robot? ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ›๏ธ but what really gets me is how they're focusing on human staff being supported rather than replaced... that's the way forward in my book ๐Ÿ™Œ. its about innovation and progress, not just about tech for tech's sake ๐Ÿ’ป.

Ugh I'm so sick of these companies announcing new features that only benefit them ๐Ÿคฏ. Like what's next? They're just going to phase out human customer support and replace us with robots too ๐Ÿค–. And don't even get me started on the environment - robots are not exactly eco-friendly, you know ๐ŸŒŽ. I mean, I'm all for progress and innovation, but can't we have a platform that actually cares about its users and the planet? It's always the same thing - companies pushing forward with their own interests without considering the consequences ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ. And Miami is already getting robot deliveries? Can't they just focus on fixing the broken platform for once instead of innovating around it? ๐Ÿšฎ

omg can u believe robots r now gonna deliver our food?? ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ” i mean its kinda cool that DoorDash is investing in this tech but its also a lil concerning think about the jobs for delivery guys ๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿšซ theyre basically gonna be replaced by bots lol. and what about the environmental impact tho? like, how much energy are these robots gonna suck up ๐ŸŒŽ๐Ÿ’จ anyway i guess its good that theyre trying to make it eco-friendly with DashMart and all. can't wait to see dot in action! ๐Ÿ’ฅ

๐Ÿค– I'm not sure about these robot deliveries yet... they just seem like a bunch of fancy tech gimmicks trying to save a buck. I mean, what's the point of having a robot deliver my pizza if it's just gonna cost me more in the end? ๐Ÿ• Plus, have you seen how those robots move? They're always bumping into things and spilling food everywhere... it's like they're not even trying ๐Ÿ˜‚. And don't even get me started on the "multi-modal system" - sounds like a fancy way of saying "we're just gonna try to cram more delivery methods together and hope it works out". ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ

๐Ÿค– Just thinkin' about robots deliverin' my fave Cuban takeout from Little Havana is kinda mind blowin'... I mean, who needs human drivers when you got machines that can navigate Miami traffic? ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ DoorDash is bringin' the heat with their new robot delivery service and it's gonna be interesting to see how this multi-modal system plays out. Plus, think about all the money we'll save on labor costs for restaurants... but let's not forget, these robots are supposed to complement human staff, not replace 'em. ๐Ÿค Fingers crossed that this tech can bring us more affordable and efficient deliveries without sacrificin' that personal touch. ๐Ÿ‘

OMG, robot delivery in Miami? ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿด this is so cool! I mean, think about it, no more traffic jams just to get your fave pizza ๐Ÿ•, and you can even get groceries from national stores with one click ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. DoorDash is really ahead of the game with their multi-modal system, it's going to be a total game changer ๐Ÿ’ฅ. And the best part? The robots won't replace human staff, they'll just make deliveries way faster โฑ๏ธ. I'm excited to try Dot out when it comes to my neighborhood ๐ŸŒ†! Can't wait to see what other cities get robot deliveries next ๐Ÿš€.

๐Ÿค– I'm intrigued by this new development in Miami! It's awesome that companies like DoorDash are experimenting with robots to make delivery more efficient and eco-friendly ๐ŸŒŽ. The idea of having Dot and Coco Robotics working together is a great one - it shows how businesses can collaborate to create innovative solutions that benefit everyone involved ๐Ÿ’ผ.

I'm also loving the fact that they're focusing on multi-modal systems, which means humans, robots, and drones will be working together to deliver food ๐Ÿš€. It's not about replacing human staff, but rather augmenting their abilities with technology. That's a win-win for consumers who get great service alongside the added benefits of automation ๐Ÿ™Œ.

It'll be interesting to see how this plays out in other cities too. With companies like GrubHub and Avride already exploring autonomous deliveries, it's clear that the future of food delivery is all about innovation and progress ๐Ÿ’ป. Bring on the robots! ๐Ÿš—

omg u guys i am literally so hyped about this new robot delivery service in miami!!! ๐Ÿ˜† they're finally doing something about all the traffic and congestion that's killing me trying to get my food on time! but what i love most is that its not just gonna be replacing humans, it's like a multi-modal system or whatever...where robots and drones and even human staff are all working together?!? ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’จ it means more options for us customers, and less strain on the environment...and let's be real, who doesn't love the idea of getting their avocado toast from a robot?!? ๐Ÿฅ—๐Ÿ˜‚ what i'm really excited about is how this is gonna revolutionize the whole food delivery game...like we're finally gonna see some real innovation happen! ๐Ÿ’ก and it's not just door dash doing it, grubhub and all these other companies are jumping on the bandwagon too... Arizona and miami, next stop ohio state?!? ๐Ÿ˜† i'm literally counting down till i can get my hands on that dot robot ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿ’จ

omg i cant even believe im still alive in 2025 ๐Ÿคฏ and robots are already doing my delivery lol i remember when grubhub was just a thing and now its like robots are gonna be the new norm ๐Ÿ”ด๐Ÿ’ป i mean its cool that door dash is trying to make it more efficient but idk about replacing human staff tho ๐Ÿ˜ i guess its good for the environment though ๐ŸŒŽ anyway i'm hyped to try out dot soon โฑ๏ธ

๐Ÿค– robots in miami now ๐Ÿš€ that's so cool! i love how door dash is trying new things and making delivery better ๐Ÿ’ก like, who wouldn't want free delivery with a robot ๐Ÿ˜‚ but seriously, this is the future of food delivery, and it's awesome to see companies innovating ๐Ÿ”ฅ dot is looking sleek as always ๐Ÿ‘• and coco robotics is on point ๐Ÿค can't wait to try out these new robots in my neighborhood ๐Ÿ“ฆ what do you guys think? will robots take over the world... just kidding ๐Ÿ˜œ

๐Ÿค– I'm loving this whole robot revolution thing! But, can we talk about the environment here? Like, don't get me wrong, reduced carbon footprint and all that jazz... but what about the battery life of these robots?! I mean, if they're just going to fly around and drop off food without any real thought for sustainability... isn't that kinda counterproductive? And another thing, are we really ready for a world where our food delivery is controlled by machines? Like, don't get me wrong, it's cool that companies are innovating... but what about the human element?! The whole reason I order food in the first place is because I wanna experience something new and exciting... not just have some robot deliver it to my doorstep. ๐Ÿค”

Umm yeah, so I'm not super convinced about these robot delivery services just yet... like, I get that they wanna save on labor costs and all, but are we really ready for our homes to be taken over by robots? ๐Ÿค– I mean, what's next? Robot mailmen? It's already kinda creepy having them deliver our food. And don't even get me started on the safety concerns... what if a robot gets stuck in a narrow alleyway or something?

I also wonder how much of an impact these robots are really gonna have on the environment. I know companies say they're trying to be eco-friendly, but we all know that's just greenwashing sometimes. And let's not forget about the whole "complementing human staff" thing... yeah right, like that's ever gonna happen in real life. Mark my words, these robots are gonna end up replacing some of our human delivery workers and that's just sad ๐Ÿค•

I think this is kinda cool ๐Ÿค–. I mean, who wouldn't want a robot deliverin' their pizza? But at the same time, I'm a little worried about how this is gonna affect human delivery guys. Are they just gonna be replaced by these robots? I don't know if that's a good thing or not... ๐Ÿค”

OMG, robots taking over Miami food scene ๐Ÿค–๐Ÿด? I'm low-key stoked about this! DoorDash's multi-modal system sounds like a game-changer, especially with the addition of grocery and household items to the menu ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. It'll be sick to see those autonomous robots zipping around neighborhoods, saving human staff time while keeping prices down ๐Ÿ’ธ. Plus, Dot's sleek design is giving me major Buzz Lightyear vibes ๐Ÿš€. Let's get ready for a future where food delivery is faster, cheaper, and more efficient โ€“ it's like the world of Tomorrowland came to life! ๐Ÿ˜Ž

I'm not sure about these robot delivery things... back in my day we just used good ol' fashioned humans to bring us our pizza and whatnot. I mean, don't get me wrong, the idea of saving the environment is cool and all, but there's something weird about a robot just rolling up to your door with your food. And what if it breaks or something? ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ’€ But hey, I guess it's the future we're living in now... might as well adapt, right? Still, I do hope they don't start replacing all the delivery guys with robots. That'd be a shame! ๐Ÿ˜’

I'm low-key hyped about this robot delivery thing in Miami ๐Ÿค–! I mean, think about it, no more waiting around all day for your food to arrive, just set a delivery time and voilร ! And the best part is, robots are gonna make sure these deliveries are faster and cheaper than ever before ๐Ÿ’ธ. It's also cool that DoorDash is trying to partner with national grocers and retailers, so we'll have more options for grocery shopping too ๐Ÿ›๏ธ. But you know what's a bit concerning? Will the human delivery staff be okay working alongside robots? I think they should still get some love ๐Ÿ’•. Anyway, can't wait to see how this whole robot delivery thing plays out in Miami and beyond ๐ŸŒด!

idk why people rnt excited abt this lol robots on food delivery?? like its gonna change ppl lives or wut? i mean, its cool n all but im good with human deliveries thanks ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™€๏ธ
