This is just heartbreaking... I mean, you'd think that having a driving licence would be more than enough to get you around, especially when life gets tough and you need to care for loved ones. But nope, apparently it's not even enough to keep you on the road. The DVLA's got some serious 'splainin' to do here... I mean, what kind of agency revokes someone's licence just because they had a minor head injury? It's like they're more worried about ticking boxes than actually helping people! And the fact that it took months for them to reinstate the licence is just gut-wrenching. I mean, can you imagine not being able to see your partner through their final days because of some bureaucratic snafu? It's just a big mess and someone needs to clean up after this...
this is just wrong. a person in need shouldnt be punished 2 months after they stopped driving due 2 injury. u need 2 consider the real world consequences of ur actions its not just about the rules, its about human lives. how many more ppl will suffer like this? and whats with the vague "appropriate" action? u cant just say that & leave ppl hanging
this is just horrific. revoking someone's licence and then not reinstating it until they're on their last legs? that's a recipe for disaster. the dvla needs to step up its game and get its act together. what kind of system lets one woman go without transport when she needs it most?!

And what really gets me is the DVLA's response... "appropriate action" sounds like just some corporate jargon . I'd want a lot more than that explanation when someone's life is literally hanging in the balance.
this is just heartbreaking I mean, can't they see that the mum needed to be there for her daughter and all of a sudden she gets a letter saying she has to stop driving? what about all those months where she's been trying to get it sorted out and no one was doing anything? it's like they're just ignoring everyone who's reaching out for help. I don't know why the DVLA can't do better than just saying "we'll take a look" and then actually doing something about it. I'm sure there are loads of other people in similar situations who have to deal with this kind of stress and anxiety because of their driving licence being revoked or delayed.
