I mean, can you blame Emma Thompson for getting frustrated with Copilot? Like, I get where she's coming from - it's intense when someone else is trying to rewrite your work without even asking.
I've had experiences like that too, where tech has just messed up my files or whatever.
But at the same time, I feel like Emma's being a bit harsh on AI. Like, we need to acknowledge its potential benefits, you know? It could be super helpful in terms of productivity and stuff. And maybe if she'd used it more strategically, she wouldn't have gotten so annoyed.
Still, I do think it's valid to worry about the impact of AI on our creative industries. Like, what happens when your unique voice is being generated by a machine? It's a bit unsettling, you know?
Maybe we just need to find ways to work with AI in a way that feels authentic and organic for us as creatives.
