Everything announced and all the winners at The Game Awards 2025

The Game Awards 2025, held on Thursday, December 11, marked a milestone in the gaming industry with record-breaking wins for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33. The game, developed by Sandfall Interactive, took home the most awards in the show's 12-year history, including Best Indie Game and Best Art Direction.

Other award winners included Doom: The Dark Ages, which received recognition for its innovation in accessibility; Counter-Strike 2, crowned Best Esports Game; Chovy, who was honored as Best Esports Athlete; Team Vitality, the Best Esports Team; Umamasume: Pretty Derby, which won Best Mobile Game; Baldur's Gate 3, praised for its community support.

The awards ceremony also saw Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 take home several accolades, including Best RPG and Best Narrative. The game's lead actress, Jennifer English, was recognized for her performance in the title role.

New games were showcased during the event, with trailers and announcements for titles such as Pragmata, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, Divinity, Coven of the Chicken Foot, ONTS, 4:LOOP, Resident Evil Requiem, Order of the Sinking Star, Gang of Dragon, Invincible VS, Diablo 4: Lord of Hatred, and Mega Man Dual Override.

Additionally, The Game Awards 2025 included a trailer for the upcoming Street Fighter movie, as well as footage from Ace Combat 8: Wings of Theve. Other notable announcements included a Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer and Highguard from Wildlight Entertainment.

๐Ÿคฉ Oh man, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 taking home so many awards is just insane! I mean, I'm glad to see an indie game getting the recognition it deserves, but at the same time, I feel like some of these other games were robbed ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ. Like, what about Doom: The Dark Ages? It's a game that actually needs accessibility features because, let's be real, its player base is pretty tiny ๐Ÿ˜….

And can we talk about how hyped I am for Pragmata and Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic? Those trailers looked so cool! ๐Ÿš€ I'm also excited to see what Highguard from Wildlight Entertainment has in store. But, on a more serious note, it's awesome to see The Game Awards celebrating its past while still looking forward to the future ๐Ÿ’ซ.

I do have one thing to say about Chovy winning Best Esports Athlete though... ๐Ÿค” I mean, I love watching esports as much as the next guy, but can we get some more depth in that category? It's always the same five or six players getting all the recognition ๐Ÿ˜. Maybe we need to see some newcomers making a splash ๐ŸŒŠ.

omg i'm still buzzing from the gaming awards ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ‘ Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is like totally killing it right now! I love how they won so many awards, especially Best Indie Game and Best Art Direction - those graphics are insane ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. And can we talk about the new games announced? Pragmata, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic, and Diablo 4 are already on my wishlist ๐Ÿ“๐Ÿ’ฅ. The Street Fighter movie trailer was also super hyped ๐ŸŽฌ. It's clear that gaming is still evolving and pushing boundaries - i'm so here for it ๐Ÿ˜Š. What's your take on the awards ceremony?

omg, Clair Obscur won so many awards ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ† i'm not surprised though, that game was literally amazing! the art direction was insane ๐Ÿ”ฅ and the story was so engaging ๐Ÿ˜ฉ i loved watching jennifer english bring the lead character to life ๐Ÿ‘ง what's even more exciting is that new games were showcased during the ceremony ๐ŸŽฎ can't wait to get my hands on those titles like Pragmata and Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic ๐Ÿ’ฅ

omg just watched the Game Awards 2025 and Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 took home like EVERYTHING ๐Ÿคฉ! Best indie game, best art direction, best RPG, best narrative... I mean what's not to love? And Jennifer English deserved that acting award for sure ๐ŸŽญ. Can't wait to play Pragmata and Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic - those looks so sick ๐Ÿ˜ฒ. also omg a Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer? need. more. info ๐Ÿ’ฅ. super hyped for 2025 gaming! ๐Ÿ‘พ๐Ÿ’ป

I mean, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's win is cool and all, but have you seen the number of games that got announced? It's like they're trying to cram as many new IPs down our throats as possible. Pragmata, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic... it's just a lot to take in. And what's with all these "next-gen" games everyone's talking about? I'm still running on my old 360 and everything is fine. Don't get me wrong, I'm hyped for some of those games, but let's not forget that Clair Obscur won awards while also being a pretty obscure game that only a handful of people have even heard of. Is that really what the gaming industry has come to? ๐Ÿค”

man this game awards thing is like... what even matters anymore? we're so caught up in the hype that we forget about the people who are actually making games for us ๐Ÿค”. like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, it's cool and all, but who's behind it? what's their story? are they just as human as we are or is this just some soulless machine spitting out awards ๐Ÿค–.

and then there's the Esports thing, which is like... sports for gamers ๐Ÿ˜‚. but at what cost? our mental health, our relationships, our lives ๐Ÿšจ. are we really just competing with each other to win or are we competing with ourselves to become better versions of who we are? ๐Ÿ’ช

and those new games they announced... Pragmata, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic... it's like the gaming industry is trying to tell us something ๐Ÿค. that there's more to life than just winning or losing; that there's beauty in the journey and the characters we meet along the way โค๏ธ.

I'm low-key hyped about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 winning all those awards lol! I mean, it's not just the game itself that got recognition but also the lead actress Jennifer English for her performance ๐Ÿ˜Š. And can we talk about how awesome it is to see innovations in accessibility for games like Doom: The Dark Ages? That's something we should be celebrating ๐ŸŽ‰. But you know what's even more exciting? The new game announcements! Pragmata, Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic... I'm already salty that my gaming queue got a little longer ๐Ÿ˜…. Can't wait to dive into some of these games and see what all the fuss is about ๐Ÿค”.

Man... Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is just so hyped right now ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, it's amazing that they took home all those awards, especially Best Indie Game and Art Direction โ€“ it's proof that innovation and creativity can still thrive in the industry. But at the same time, it's kinda weird that a game about a team of explorers just blew every other category out of the water... I mean, I'm sure Doom: The Dark Ages is super cool and all ๐Ÿค–, but have you seen Clair Obscur's visuals? ๐Ÿ˜ It's like they raided a Pinterest board of abandoned sci-fi concepts and made them into a game. Anyway, can't wait to check out some of the other games that were announced โ€“ Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic is looking ๐Ÿ”ฅ!

Man, Clair Obscur just took the gaming world by storm ๐Ÿš€! I mean, 12 years of Game Awards and this game finally takes the top spot? Crazy! And to see all that art direction love goin' to Sandfall Interactive's crew is amazing ๐Ÿ˜. It's clear they put their heart into that game.

And what's up with Doom: The Dark Ages gettin' recognition for accessibility? We need more games like that, you know? Accessibility is key for the whole community ๐Ÿค—. Glad to see some love for Counter-Strike 2 too - esports has been on fire lately โšก๏ธ.

But for real, it's all about Clair Obscur now ๐Ÿ”ฅ. That lead actress Jennifer English must be so proud of her role, and the narrative is just pure gold ๐Ÿ’ฏ. Anyway, can't wait to check out some of those new games announced ๐Ÿค”... Pragmata? Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic? Bring it on! ๐Ÿ˜†

omg, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 totally stole the show ๐Ÿคฉ๐ŸŽฎ! i mean, who wouldn't want to win best indie game, best art direction, best rpg, and best narrative all in one night? it's like they're basically saying this game is a masterpiece ๐Ÿ’ฏ. and can we talk about how amazing the lead actress jennifer english is? her performance in the title role must have blown everyone away ๐Ÿคฉ. i'm hyped for the new games coming out next year, especially pragmata and star wars: fate of the old republic, but i think clair obscur is gonna be hard to top ๐Ÿ”ฅ. anyway, it's always dope to see the game industry getting more recognition for its talented devs and awesome games ๐Ÿ‘

I'm so stoked about Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 winning Best RPG at The Game Awards 2025 ๐Ÿคฉ! I mean, who wouldn't want to explore the mysterious world of Expedition 33? ๐Ÿ˜ The game's art direction is insane too - it looks like a dream come true for any gamer. And Jennifer English's performance as the lead actress is seriously impressive. I love how the game industry keeps innovating and pushing boundaries.

I'm also hyped about some of the new games announced, like Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic ๐Ÿš€ and Mega Man Dual Override ๐Ÿ’ฅ! Can't wait to dive into those. And a Super Mario Galaxy movie trailer? That's pure excitement ๐Ÿ˜†. On a side note, I wish more games would have accessibility features like Doom: The Dark Ages did - it's awesome that the gaming industry is becoming more inclusive ๐ŸŽฎ๐Ÿ’–

๐Ÿค” The real question is, who's really winning in this gaming industry? I mean, we're seeing record-breaking wins for Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, but what about the bigger picture? Is it just another example of how big studios like Doom and Baldur's Gate are crushing the competition with their massive resources?

And let's not forget about accessibility. Doom: The Dark Ages is getting major props for making games more inclusive, but where's the push for equal access in esports? We're seeing top teams taking home awards without any representation from smaller or indie teams.

It's also interesting that we saw several game announcements from big-name developers like Star Wars and Resident Evil. Are they trying to create a narrative around their own brands rather than innovating new IPs? ๐Ÿค‘ The industry is all about competition, but are we just seeing the same old players holding onto power?

The real winners might not be Clair Obscur or Doom, but the game developers who can adapt to changing player demands and stay ahead of the curve. Who's ready for some disruption in the gaming world? ๐Ÿ’ฅ

Just watched this game awards thingy online ๐Ÿคฉ and Clair Obscur is like totally a dark horse winner ๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ”ฅ took home so many awards including Best Indie Game and Best Art Direction. I'm still trying to figure out what it's all about but the visuals are insane ๐Ÿ˜ฒ and Jennifer English is an amazing actress ๐Ÿ‘. Also, can't wait for some of these new games like Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic ๐Ÿš€ and Pragmata ๐Ÿ’ป... anyone know more about those? [https://www.thegameawards.com/recap/2025-recap]

๐Ÿค” Clair Obscur: Expedition 33's winning streak is insane. I mean, taking home Best RPG and Best Narrative on top of all the other awards? That game must've been on fire ๐Ÿ”ฅ. I'm not surprised it won though, Sandfall Interactive's team has been pushing the boundaries with their indie games for years now ๐Ÿš€. And yeah, it's awesome to see more recognition for accessibility in games like Doom: The Dark Ages ๐Ÿ‘. Can't wait to play some of these new releases, especially Pragmata and Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic ๐Ÿคฏ.

I'm telling you, something fishy went down at The Game Awards 2025 ๐Ÿค”. Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 taking home the most awards is just too convenient. I mean, have you seen their game? It's all about space exploration and...and... corporate-sponsored 'innovative' gameplay mechanics that make you feel like a drone ๐Ÿš€๐Ÿ’ธ. And Jennifer English, the lead actress? She's been acting since she was 12 years old... how did she become so good overnight? ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™€๏ธ Plus, all those new game announcements are just trying to distract us from the real story: Clair Obscur's secret tie to the gaming industry elite ๐Ÿค๐Ÿ”’. Mark my words, there's more to this game than meets the eye...

๐Ÿค” I'm so over how every year it's always the indie devs who win all the big ones lol... Clair Obscur got swept up in that award gravy train, didn't they? It's cool they took home Best Art Direction though, that game is straight fire ๐Ÿ’ฅ. But seriously, have you seen some of these gameplay vids from Pragmata and Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic? I'm hyped for those, but also kinda worried we're gonna be spending a lot more money on new games in the coming year ๐Ÿค‘. Anyways, that Street Fighter movie trailer was lit ๐Ÿ”ฅ! Who else is stoked for a good ol' fashioned Shoryuken?

I'm telling you, this whole thing is like a perfect example of how some games get more love just because they're big-name franchises ๐Ÿค‘. I mean, have you seen the list of winners? It's all about Doom and Star Wars and whatnot. Meanwhile, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 just so happens to be an indie game that gets all the awards ๐Ÿ’ธ. That's not fair to all the other talented devs out there who are trying to make a name for themselves.

And don't even get me started on this "record-breaking" business ๐Ÿ“ˆ. Is it really about how many awards they won, or is it just a PR stunt to get more attention? I'm calling foul here. And have you noticed that most of these big-name winners had some kind of high-profile celebrity involved? It's all about who you know in the gaming industry, folks ๐Ÿค”. That's just not what the Game Awards should be about.

On the other hand, it's cool to see Umamasume: Pretty Derby win Best Mobile Game ๐Ÿ“ฑ. That game is actually pretty great! And I'm happy to see Chovy and Team Vitality getting some love for their esports skills ๐Ÿ’ช. But overall, this whole thing just feels like a bunch of big-name games trying to one-up each other rather than celebrating the actual talent in the gaming industry ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

I'm telling you, this is what happens when we don't invest in our indie game devs ๐Ÿค‘ They're forced to go the extra mile to create something amazing like Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, which ended up sweeping the awards ๐Ÿ† It's a microcosm of our economy, where the market dictates the winners. But at what cost? The industry is so focused on innovation and accessibility that we're neglecting the artists and creators who need real support to thrive ๐Ÿค” We should be talking about how we can create more opportunities for indie devs, rather than just celebrating their successes ๐Ÿ’ผ

OMG, I'm still on cloud nine after watching The Game Awards 2025 ๐Ÿ˜๐ŸŽฎ! Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 totally killed it, taking home like, the most awards ever ๐Ÿคฏ! I mean, who wouldn't want to play a game with that much art direction? It's like a work of art, man ๐Ÿ–ผ๏ธ. And can we talk about Doom: The Dark Ages for a sec? Accessibility innovations? Mind blown ๐Ÿ’ก! I'm all about games that make gaming more inclusive, you feel me?

And esports is where it's at, fam! Counter-Strike 2 and Chovy took home the top spots ๐Ÿ†. Team Vitality is looking strong too ๐Ÿ‘Š. But what really got me hyped was Pragmata โ€“ new sci-fi games are always a win in my book ๐Ÿš€!

I'm also super stoked about some of those upcoming game announcements, like Star Wars: Fate of the Old Republic and Resident Evil Requiem ๐Ÿ˜Ž! Can't wait to dive into these new worlds and experiences. And that Street Fighter movie trailer? ๐ŸŽฅ It's gonna be lit!

What's your take on The Game Awards 2025? Did any of these games or announcements get you hyped? ๐Ÿ’ฌ
