How to sign up for Amazon Prime

To snag the perks of Amazon Prime without breaking the bank, start by heading to Amazon's website and scrolling down to the "Choose your plan" section. Don't feel obligated to sign up for a free 30-day trial right off the bat – take a minute to peruse your options.

The basic plan will cost you $14.99 a month or $139 per year, which translates to about $12 a month. Alternatively, consider Prime for Young Adults if you're between 18 and 24 years old (with proof of student status) or on government assistance programs like SNAP and Medicaid – the monthly rate drops to $7.49, with a free six-month trial.

Now that you've picked your plan, it's time to create an Amazon account. Click "Start your free 30-day trial" and follow the prompts to set up your account using your name, email, and password. Don't forget to enable two-factor authentication for added security.

Next, Amazon will send a one-time password (OTP) to your verified email address; paste it into the specified field on the website, click "Verify," and then enter your credit or debit card information – you're done!

A word of caution: while it's technically possible to sign up for Prime, take advantage of the free trial, and cancel later, be aware that this trick can only be pulled once. You'll need to start a new 30-day trial period each year during Black Friday/Cyber Monday.

Ugh, great idea Amazon... make it so hard to get cheap Prime membership 😒. Like, who needs a free six-month trial just for being young or low-income? It's not like I'm trying to take advantage of the system here 🙄. And don't even get me started on the OTP thing - it feels like they're trying to make us all feel like we're in some spy movie 🕵️‍♀️. Can't a person just sign up for Prime without having to verify their email and credit card info? I swear, getting the best deals is more work than I'm willing to put into it 🤦‍♂️.

💸 I think its super smart to snag an Amazon Prime deal for under $15 a month! Idk about the one-time password thing tho, feels like theres gotta be a way to make it more straightforward... but hey its all good if you can get that sweet prime life without breaking the bank 🤑

I'm not sure why people would bother trying to pull that one-time trick to get Prime for cheap... 🤔 it's just too much hassle, and you're still gonna end up paying the full price in the long run. Plus, you gotta remember that your account will be flagged if they catch you, and then you'll never get a good deal again 😬

omg u guys dont wanna pay for prime anymore? 😂 i get it, but think about all the perks - fast shipping, music streaming, and more! 🎵 if ur between 18-24 or on gov assistance, tho, u can get a cheaper plan 🤑 $7.49/month is def worth it! 👍 just make sure to verify ur email and set up two-factor auth, dont wanna be hacked 😅 also, dont try that whole sign-up-for-trial-cancel-later trick - amazon's onto u 💁‍♀️

omg i just signed up for amazon prime and now my mind is blown i was thinking of getting it for ages but didnt wanna spend that kinda cash lol now that im in, i'm gonna use all the perks like music and video streaming and free shipping omg its gonna be soooo good! btw why do they have a "young adults" plan tho? i mean i know some ppl are struggling with payments but i dont think we should get special treatment just cuz were young 🤑

I mean, think about it... why do we feel the need to constantly validate our worth by "snagging perks" like Amazon Prime? Is it because we're desperate for convenience and comfort, or is there something more at play? We're essentially trading away our autonomy and freedom for a monthly fee. And what's the real cost of that "convenience"? Not just monetarily, but also our sense of self-worth?

And let's not forget about the social pressure to keep up with the Joneses – or in this case, the Amazon Prime subscribers. We're constantly comparing ourselves to others and feeling like we need more. It's a vicious cycle, right? But what if we flipped the script and saw it as an opportunity to question our values and priorities? 🤔

omg i just found out how to get prime for like almost half the price 🤑 and i'm so here for it! especially since my friends are all getting it for their birthdays or something, this way i can still keep up without breaking the bank 💸 they also have these plans for young adults and people on government programs which is super cool too 👍

omg did u no amazon prime is now like $7.49 4 young adults & ppl on gov assistance?? thats literally half the price of regular membership! 🤯 also i saw that if u r eligible, u can get a free 6 month trial lol who wouldn't wanna sign up for that? 😂 btw, just checked the stats & Amazon Prime has over 300m members worldwide... 📊 and they're making like $20billion annually 🤑

OMG I'm so stoked about Amazon Prime, it's literally changed my life!!! 🤩 I mean who doesn't love free two-day shipping and all the sick deals on Amazon? I got the basic plan for $14.99 a month (which is kinda pricey but like, totally worth it) and I just signed up for the 30-day trial already! 🎉 The thing is tho, don't even think about trying to cancel later, 'cause Amazon's all "you gotta start fresh each year" so yeah, that's a bummer... still gonna get my Prime though 💁‍♀️

omg I just signed up for Amazon Prime for like $12 a month 🤑 it's literally so worth it! I've been eyeing that new tablet I saw online and now I can get free shipping on all my orders 😍 plus I love how they have deals on groceries and stuff. the whole thing is super easy to set up too, even if you're not techy like me 🤓

I'm intrigued by how much value people place on convenience 😊. The fact that we're willing to shell out cash just to avoid the hassle of manual planning and security checks raises questions about our relationship with technology. Are we really trading freedom for ease, or is it more like a Faustian bargain where we sacrifice some autonomy in exchange for the promise of a seamless experience? 🤔

idk why ppl even bother with the "free" trials lol. its like amazon is just using it as a way to get u hooked 🤷‍♀️. can we just get a decent monthly deal without all the extra stuff? and btw, i tried this trick last year on black friday and had to restart my trial mid-month because i forgot to cancel 😳

OMG u guys!! I'm literally so stoked about amazon prime now!!! 🤩 I mean who doesn't love free 2 day shipping and all the perks that come with it?? I've been trying to figure out how to get into it without breaking the bank, and I finally found a way!! 😆 So yeah, u just gotta sign up for the basic plan or prime for young adults (if ur between 18-24 lol) and then cancel ur trial after like 30 days or so... 🙃 and guess what? U get to do it all again next year on black friday/cyber monday!!! 🎁 I'm literally already planning my shopping spree for that day!! 😆

omg u guys I just figured out how to get amazon prime without breaking the bank 🤑 first off dont feel pressured to sign up for that free 30 day trial right away scroll through ur options tho #AmazonPrimeTips the basic plan is only $12 a month or $139 a year which is a total steal 🤩 and if u r between 18-24 or on SNAP/medicaid u can get it for just $7.49/month with a free 6 month trial 🎉

I remember when Amazon used to charge $79 a year for Prime back in the day... 🙄 it feels like just yesterday we were using dial-up internet and waiting for what felt like an eternity for our emails to load. Anyway, this free trial thing is kinda cool, I guess. It's like getting a sweet deal on a new console or something! But, gotta say, $7.49 a month for Prime Young Adult? That's still pretty steep if you ask me...

I'm so confused about Amazon Prime... 🤯 I mean, it's supposed to be a great deal, but why do they make me choose between paying $14.99 or $7.49? Can't I just pay the cheaper one and still get all the benefits? And what's with this "free 30-day trial" thing? Is that really free? 🤑

I'm also worried about my personal info getting stolen because of that two-factor auth thingy... how does it work again? 🤔 Do I need a special app or something?

I'm so done with people trying to scam Amazon's Prime! 🙄 They're always like "oh I just tried it and cancelled after the free trial" but honestly, that's not how it works. You can only do that once every year, during Black Friday/Cyber Monday. Don't even think about trying to exploit it, 'cause Amazon's got your back... or should I say, their algorithms are 💻 always watching out for you! Just pay the monthly fee or take advantage of the discounted rate if you qualify, it's not that hard! 😊

I think its kinda cool how Amazon offers different plans for people who might not be able to afford Prime without government assistance 🤑. Like, if you're a student or on SNAP/medicaid, the cheaper plan is super reasonable at $7.49/month. Its also great that they offer a 6-month free trial so you can test it out before committing to a full year 💸. My only concern would be making sure to keep track of when your trial period starts and ends, or you might end up paying extra 😊.

Wow 🤩, I had no idea they offered cheaper options for students on government assistance! $7.49 a month is super affordable and the six-month free trial is a great perk 🎁. But, yeah, you gotta be careful when trying to sign up and cancel later – it's like a little loophole 😏
