Israeli strikes kill 33 in Gaza, Hamas-run civil defense says

At least 33 Palestinians have been killed in a series of Israeli air strikes in the Gaza Strip, according to Hamas-run Civil Defence officials and hospital sources. The attacks were carried out by Israel in response to alleged violations of the US-brokered ceasefire agreement.

Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz accused Hamas of attacking Israeli soldiers in Gaza on Tuesday, breaching terms related to returning hostages' bodies. However, Hamas denied any involvement, stating that it had "no connection" with the attack and insisting that it was committed to the ceasefire deal.

US President Donald Trump insisted that nothing would jeopardize the ceasefire, but added that Israel should take action if its soldiers were targeted.

The strikes hit various areas in Gaza City, including homes, schools, and residential blocks, with rescue teams facing "extremely difficult conditions" due to continuous bombing and lack of equipment.

Four Palestinians, including three women, were among those killed when a home belonging to the al-Banna family was bombed in the southern Sabra neighbourhood. Strikes also hit al-Shifa hospital, where five more people were killed, including two children and a woman, when their vehicle was hit on Khan Younis street.

Hamas's military wing has postponed returning a hostage's body it had recovered earlier due to what it described as Israeli "violations". US Vice-President Vance said the ceasefire is holding, but acknowledged there may be "little skirmishes here and there".

Earlier, Israel's prime minister pledged unspecified "steps" against Hamas after handing over a coffin containing human remains that did not belong to one of the 13 deceased hostages still in Gaza.

this is just getting ridiculous lol... 33 people killed in gaza already? it feels like another escalation every week here... i feel bad for the innocent civilians who get caught in the middle of all this... how can you even negotiate a ceasefire when there's no trust between these two sides? the us seems to be playing both sides again... meanwhile, israel is saying they're not targeting civilians but it's like they're just bombing everything that moves down there 🀯πŸ’₯

omg this is getting so outta hand!!! 🀯 33 ppl killed in gaza like what even is goin on here?? i feel bad for all the innocent ppl gettin caught in the crossfire πŸ’” cant we just talk it out instead of resortin to violence? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ Israel says hams attacked them but hams denies it... like who knows whats real anymore? πŸ€” trump is tryin to stay neutral but its hard when ur country is doin all the shootin πŸ’ͺUS vpc Vance said ceasefire is holdin but hes also sayin there might be some small skirmishes... i dont no what's gonna happen next!! 🎯

πŸ˜• The situation in Gaza is getting really messy... Israel's air strikes are causing innocent civilian casualties and it's just heartbreaking πŸ€•. I think we need to be more careful with these ceasefire agreements - they're meant to prevent exactly this kind of violence. The lack of equipment for rescue teams and the extremely difficult conditions they face is a huge concern too βš’οΈ.

It's also concerning that Hamas's military wing is delaying returning a hostage's body due to what it describes as Israeli "violations". This whole situation is just a cycle of retaliation and violence... I hope someone can find a way to break this pattern and bring peace to Gaza πŸ’”.

I'm shocked by all these civilian casualties 🀯. Like, I get it, Israel has every right to defend itself, but can't they just try to do this stuff without killing so many people? 😩 It's just not even a good strategy, you know? They're basically just gonna end up losing more soldiers and making the situation worse in the long run.

And what's with all these "violations" accusations? πŸ€” Can't we just have one conversation where everyone agrees on what's going on without someone throwing blame around? It's like, can't Israel and Hamas find a way to communicate that doesn't involve bombing each other's people?

I'm also really annoyed by the US not being more clear about their stance. Like, if they're supposed to be brokered peace agreements, shouldn't they at least try to prevent this kind of stuff from happening? πŸ™„

🚨 this whole thing feels like a classic case of both sides playing catch-up πŸ€” and looking for excuses to keep escalating... israel says hamas breached the ceasefire, but hamas claims it's a misunderstanding πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ and now they're saying those "violations" are gonna delay returning a hostage's body? sounds like an excuse factory πŸ’¨ either way, we need more fact-checking on both sides before we start jumping to conclusions πŸ“Š

😱 just saw this update on gaza...33 palestinians killed by israeli airstrikes 🀯 can't believe they're saying hamas attacked their own soldiers? what's going on over there? hospital sources are saying it was a total mess, rescue teams struggling to even reach the victims due to all the bombing...so much loss of life in one day πŸ˜” and now hamas is postponing returning a hostage's body because israel did something "violation-y"...can we just get some peace around here? πŸ™πŸ’”

just saw this news and i'm worried about what's happening in gaza πŸ€•. like, 33 people killed already? that's so many lives lost. i feel for the families of those who got hurt or killed. it's not just the people who are dead that we should be thinking about, but also the ones who are living through this trauma πŸ˜”.

i don't think israel should just go around attacking gaza without a good reason. they're saying hamas did something, but what if it was actually israel who breached the ceasefire? you know how sometimes we get all worked up over nothing and then realize later that we were wrong πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ.

anyway, i'm not sure what's going on with this whole hostage thing. like, why didn't hamas just return the body already? was it because of something israel did? ugh, politics can be so complicated πŸ’”.

πŸ˜• The situation in Gaza is looking increasingly dire by the minute. I mean, 33 Palestinians dead? It's just heartbreaking. The Israeli air strikes don't seem to be resolving anything - we're seeing civilians caught in the crossfire, innocent people losing their homes and loved ones. 🀯 The lack of equipment for rescue teams makes it even harder to respond effectively.

I think Israel needs to take responsibility for its actions and try to de-escalate the situation rather than just accusing Hamas of everything that goes wrong. πŸ’” And what's with this hostage situation? It feels like a never-ending cycle of violence. The ceasefire deal was supposed to be a step forward, but now it seems like we're right back where we started.

I'm worried about the innocent people who are getting caught in the middle of all this - they deserve better than to have their lives disrupted by politicians and military leaders making decisions that don't take into account the human cost. 🌎

Ugh this whole situation is just so messed up πŸ˜©πŸ€•. I mean, who needs more bloodshed and destruction? The ceasefire agreement was meant to give both sides some peace and quiet, but it seems like Israel's always looking for excuses to start another round of violence. And what's with the US trying to play mediator? They're just fueling the fire, if you ask me πŸ™„.

I'm so tired of hearing about the innocent civilians caught in the crossfire πŸ’”. Can't we all just get along and try to find a way to resolve our differences peacefully? The fact that Hamas is accused of attacking Israeli soldiers, but then denies it too... it's like a never-ending cycle of mistrust and hostility 🀯.

And have you seen the state of Gaza City right now? It's like a war zone πŸ’₯. I mean, what kind of humanity can we expect from countries when they're just bombing civilians left and right? The US Vice-President is saying that "little skirmishes here and there" might happen, but isn't that just code for "we'll do whatever it takes to keep the status quo"? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ.

oh man this is soooo messed up 🀯 another massacre in gaza like what even is happening there πŸ™„ i mean i get it israel is scared but targeting civvies and hospitals is never the answer 🚫 these innocent ppl are just trying to survive and live their lives and now they're caught in the crossfire πŸ’” 33 people killed and countless more injured πŸ€• i'm so sick of all this violence and bloodshed πŸ’€ it's like nobody cares anymore πŸ™…β€β™‚οΈ i wish someone would take a step back and think about the human cost of all this πŸ˜”

I'm so worried about what's happening in Gaza πŸ€•. The situation just keeps escalating and innocent lives are being lost left and right πŸ’”. I mean, how can Israel claim they're trying to maintain a ceasefire when their airstrikes are causing so much destruction and chaos? And what's with Hamas postponing returning the hostage's body - is that just another excuse for them to keep playing this back-and-forth game?

And have you seen the conditions in Gaza right now? It's like living hell, with bombing going on non-stop 🚨. The rescue teams must be having a tough time getting there, and the fact that they're lacking equipment is just ridiculous.

I feel so sorry for the families of those who lost their lives - can't we just have some peace and stability in the world? I guess that's just too much to ask right now πŸ˜”.

Ugh, this is getting outta hand... 🀯 another 33 Palestinians killed in Israeli airstrikes? It's like they're trying to make a mess wherever they go. And what's with Hamas playing dumb? Come on, we all know they're involved in some shady stuff. The US is just enabling Israel's aggression with their "ceasefire" nonsense. Meanwhile, the Gaza Strip is getting utterly destroyed, and who's supposed to do something about it? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ And don't even get me started on the hostages... what's the holdup with returning those bodies anyway? It's like they're using them as leverage for more bloodshed. This whole situation just feels like a never-ending cycle of violence and chaos. 😩

πŸ€” i'm just worried about all these innocent ppl gettin killed... i mean, what's the point of havin a ceasefire if u r just gonna keep bombin people's homes and hospitals? 🚨 it's like, how can ur military wing even claim to be holdin it down when they're more interested in killin off hostages than returnin 'em safely? πŸ€·β€β™‚οΈ & what's up with the US just sayin the ceasefire is still holdin but knowin there might be "little skirmishes"? sounds like a weak excuse to me... 🚫 i wish ppl could just talk it out instead of resortin to violence. πŸ’”

πŸ€• my heart goes out to those innocent ppl in Gaza, they dont deserve to be hurt again n again ... its just so sad when wars happen n people get caught in between πŸŒͺ️ the ceasefire is supposed to bring some peace but it seems like Israel & Hamas cant seem to work together ... US is trying to mediate but its hard 2 see how this conflict can end πŸ’”

Ugh, this all feels so familiar πŸ€•... like I'm stuck in some bad movie loop. You'd think we've learned nothing from all these conflicts. First they say Hamas is attacking, then they say Hamas says it's not them... and meanwhile, innocent civilians are getting killed left and right πŸ’”. I mean, what even is the ceasefire deal anymore? It sounds like just a bunch of empty words πŸ—£οΈ. Israel keeps saying they're defending themselves, but sometimes you wonder if that's just code for "we're gonna bomb the heck outta Gaza" πŸ’₯. And don't even get me started on the hostages... it's all so tragic πŸ™.
