I'm not saying Beuys isn't a complex guy with some pretty heavy baggage – I get it. But what strikes me is how he managed to turn all that pain and trauma into something both beautiful and thought-provoking. Like, have you seen those Andy Warhol portraits? They're hauntingly gorgeous in their own way. And the Bathtub... whoa, that's some trippy stuff right there
. It's like Beuys is saying, "Hey, let's face the abyss head-on and see what we can learn from it." You know, I think that's a really powerful message, especially in today's world where we're always trying to avoid talking about the tough stuff.
