OMG this is so sad for these people! Friedman Communities needs to step up their game ASAP and provide more support for the residents who are going through so much stress I mean, $2,500 isn't exactly a lot of money when you're trying to find a new place to live and make ends meet and the fact that they only gave notice on November 26th is just not cool I'm sending all my love and positive vibes to these people, hoping someone can help them out soon!
omg u guys i cant even believe what's happening in chicago rn so like theres this apartment building that was raided by the feds and now residents are being forced to leave its not cool because they're getting a super low amount of money from the company to help them move into new homes $2500 is like literally nothing but seriously how r u supposed 2 pay rent with just that kinda cash?
i also feel bad for the ppl who are struggling 2 find new places 2 live its not just about having a roof over ur head its about havin stability & security i dont think the judge's decision is fair at all she should've given them more time 2 figure things out
anywayz i'm just worried bout these ppl who r going thru this its a total mess rn
man... these people gotta be like totally stressed out right now I feel bad for them, you know? They're already in a tough spot because of some court decision that's affecting their lives and now they're struggling to find new homes? it's not fair at all . and what really gets me is that they're being offered like super little money to relocate, $5000 upfront? come on! that's not even enough for a security deposit let alone rent .
and I'm with the mayor on this one, Brandon Johnson was right to ask for more resources and an extension. it's not just about public safety, it's about people's lives too. these residents are not just statistics or numbers, they're real people who have families, jobs, and homes to lose . I hope something gets done soon and that these folks can find a way out of this nightmare .
