Julio Iglesias denies sexual abuse claims of two former female employees

Spanish singer Julio Iglesias has come forward to deny allegations of sexual abuse made against him by two former female employees. The 82-year-old entertainer claims he never abused, coerced, or disrespected any woman and has "pain me deeply" that the accusations are false.

Two women, identified only as Rebeca and Laura, allege they were subjected to inappropriate touching, insults, humiliation, and even sexual assault while working in Iglesias's Caribbean mansions. According to their accounts, these incidents occurred in 2021. The victims describe a culture of control and constant harassment at the hands of the singer.

In a statement posted on Instagram, Iglesias vehemently denied the allegations, calling them "absolutely false" and assuring his fans that he would defend his dignity against this "serious affront." He expressed gratitude for messages of love and support from well-wishers.

The two women have filed a formal complaint against Iglesias at Spain's highest criminal court, citing sexual assault and human trafficking. This complaint has triggered a preliminary investigation by prosecutors.

Rebeca recounts an alleged incident where she claims Iglesias would call her to his room after work hours and engage in non-consensual anal and vaginal penetration with his fingers. Laura shares a similar story, detailing how Iglesias kissed her on the mouth and touched her breasts without permission or consent during a beach outing.

Other former employees have come forward to corroborate their stories, including Carolina, who alleges she was required to undergo medical tests for sexually transmitted diseases such as HIV and chlamydia. Medical documents obtained by elDiario.es appear to show that multiple women employed at Iglesias's villa in 2021 underwent gynaecological examinations.

Laura emphasizes the importance of her and Rebeca filing a complaint, stating they want to "send a message" to other potential victims of Iglesias to encourage them to speak out.

🤕 gotta feel bad for these women who came forward with their stories 🤝 it's crazy how one person can make so many lives suffer and I'm not here to bash Julio or anyone else, but if we're gonna keep talking about this, let's also talk about the power of silence and the importance of seeking help when you've been hurt 💔 sometimes it takes a village to heal and I hope these women find the support they need during this tough time 🌸

Ugh, this guy is getting away with some serious BS... I mean, who does he think he is, calling himself out as a victim and denying the allegations at the same time? 🤦‍♂️ It's like he's expecting everyone to believe him because of his fame and age. Newsflash, Julio: just because you're a famous old dude doesn't make you above the law.

And can we talk about how these women are being treated? They're filing a formal complaint and everything is being dragged out... it feels like they're fighting an uphill battle already. I hope they get some justice, but it's not looking good right now 🤕

🤔 I'm not buying it, you know? I mean, come on 82 and suddenly you're accusing two women of lying about being sexually assaulted by you? It just doesn't add up. And what's with the "pain me deeply" vibe? Sounds like a script to me. Where are these "painful" feelings coming from? 🤷‍♂️

And let's talk about the timing, too. These allegations pop up after multiple women have come forward and now he's gonna deny it all? That doesn't sit right with me either. It smells like a classic case of silence-is-golden. He probably didn't do anything and is just trying to sweep this under the rug.

I'm also curious about these medical tests... if they're real, that's some wild stuff. Like, who does gynaecological exams? You? 🤦‍♂️ And what's up with all these women allegedly being at his villa in 2021? Is it possible that someone just happened to be there and witnessed something they shouldn't have?

Anyway, I'm definitely keeping an eye on this one. Need some solid evidence before I start jumping to conclusions... or making assumptions 😐

idk what's more cringeworthy, the fact that these allegations are still being denied or the fact that he's trying to play the victim in his 80s 🙄. like, if you're gonna deny something, at least have the decency to acknowledge your own flaws and apologize. instead, he's just spewing out a bunch of entitled nonsense about "his dignity" being attacked. newsflash, Julio: your ego is not worth more than the lives and well-being of these women. and btw, who calls their employees to their room for a "non-consensual anal and vaginal penetration with his fingers"? sounds like a hot mess 😂. i'm so over celebrities acting like they're above accountability 🤷‍♀️

I'm so worried about these two women, Rebeca and Laura... what a traumatic experience they went through 🤕. I can imagine how hard it must be for them to come forward like this. 82-year-old Julio Iglesias denying the allegations doesn't change the fact that his former employees felt trapped and disrespected in their workplace. The fact that multiple women underwent gynaecological exams just because they worked for him is just horrific 😱.

I think it's amazing that they're filing a complaint, even though it might be scary for them... Laura's story about being kissed on the mouth and touched without consent during a beach outing still gives me chills 🌴. We need to believe them and support them through this difficult time 💪.

🤯 this is so messed up!! i mean i love julio iglesias's music and all but come on he's 82 years old what kind of culture does that create? like these women were allegedly subjected to harassment and assault in his own homes?? it's not just about the abuse itself its about how he controlled them too - medical tests for hiv and chlamydia, constant touching and humiliation... 🚫💔 i dont know what to believe anymore. rebeca and laura are super brave for coming forward now maybe their story will help others who've been through similar stuff 👊

😱 I'm so shook by this news... I don't know what's more disturbing, the fact that these women were allegedly subjected to such abuse or that Iglesias is denying it all 💔 His age and reputation shouldn't shield him from accountability 🤝 It's clear he created a toxic environment in his workplace, where women felt disrespected and harassed constantly 😒 I'm so frustrated for Rebeca, Laura, and the others who have come forward to share their stories... they're brave for speaking out 💪

Ugh 🤯 this is wild! I mean, Julio Iglesias is 82 years old and he's still trying to play the victim? Like, come on man 🙄. These women have the courage to come forward and share their stories and now you're denying everything? It's not about your dignity, it's about the impact your actions had on these people's lives. And what's with all these "pain me deeply" comments? That just sounds like a scripted PR statement 📝.

And can we talk about how these women were treated while working for him? They're talking about a culture of control and harassment, and it's not okay to just dismiss that as "false" claims. These women are brave for speaking out, and I hope they get the justice they deserve. The fact that other former employees have come forward to corroborate their stories is even more damning 🤯.
