Mother McAuley's dominant performance against St. Charles East has catapulted the team to 16th in the Super 25 girls basketball rankings, with a win over Providence and DePaul Prep just last week proving their prowess.

The Saints' success was largely attributed to sophomore Ava Little, who scored 12 points and grabbed six rebounds, while also displaying impressive defensive skills. the big question is, what's driving the success of these teams? its not just individual talent, thats for sure. i mean, take mother mcauley for example, their win over providence and de paul prep was huge, but if you look at the stats, quinn arundel's scoring isn't that out of the ordinary . its really about how they work together as a team, and how well they execute their plays on defense .

and it's not just the big games either. teams like benet are dominating in their own backyard, but what happens when they hit the road? will they be able to translate that success to other environments?

i also think we need to give more props to some of these coaches, like curtis lewis at mother mcauley. he's clearly doing something right, and his ability to get the best out of his players is impressive .

omg, can u believe Mother McAuley just cracked the top 16 ! that's so impressive considering they weren't expected to win against those teams. Ava Little is a total beast on defense , her ability to defend against opponents has been making all the difference in their games. and Quinn Arundel is looking as the team's lead guard, always stepping up with clutch performances.

anyway, i was checking out the Super 25 rankings and it's crazy to see Benet at number one ! they're killing it this season with an 18-1 record. and Nazareth is right behind them, proving that they're not just a one-hit wonder . I'm also loving Prospect's record-breaker , Zoe Black is on fire with those three-pointers !

btw, have you seen the stats for Mother McAuley vs DePaul Prep? 12-5 in rebounding and 24-15 in points scored . Ava Little went 4/6 from 3pt range what a performance!

Ugh, another bunch of privileged schools showing off their basketball skills . I mean, Benet's 61-39 win over Glenbrook South is basically a cakewalk, but hey, who needs actual competition when you've got super rich parents to bankroll your team? And don't even get me started on Prospect's Zoe Black, she's just another example of how the system can churn out overachieving athletes with no real passion for the game .
