Man charged with rape and religiously aggravated assault of Sikh woman in Walsall

Maniacs gotta catch people like this ASAP 
! I mean, assaultin' some poor Sikh girl and takin' her stuff? What's wrong with these people?! 
The victim was in her 20s and she got robbed of her jewelry and phone...like, that's not even the worst part. It's the fact that this guy just goes around doin' this stuff willy-nilly and nobody stops him till it's too late

I'm glad some people in the gallery lost their cool, but we need to be thinkin' about solutions here, not just reactin' with anger. This is what happens when we don't have enough resources for communities like that...
It's time for us to step up and demand better support for these people. We can't just sit back and watch this stuff happen!

And now it seems like this is still a thing? 
The fact that John Ashby's court appearance had to be interrupted because someone in the gallery was swearing... like, what kind of energy?! We need more empathy and kindness, not less. It's also really sad that this case is highlighting the need for better support systems for vulnerable individuals... it's a shame we still have to live with this reality.

this is so upsetting, a woman got mugged and assaulted like that? what was going through the perpetrator's mind, did he not care that it was a woman from a minority community? 
his actions are absolutely despicable and I can see why the public gallery was emotional. how is the victim doing though, has she received any support or protection since the attack? 
it's good to hear that there's been widespread concern in the community but we need to do more than just talk about this issue, we need to take action and make sure these types of attacks don't happen again.
