In a stunning display of bravery, one man rode out an EF-3 tornado in his van, finding shelter from the storm and sharing his harrowing experience with CNN. The National Weather Service confirmed that the tornado, which tore through Pulaski and Lonoke counties in Arkansas, reached estimated peak winds of 165 miles per hour.

The van, equipped with a pest control business, proved to be an unlikely sanctuary for Cody Coombes, who recounted the terrifying ordeal from the safety of his vehicle. As the tornado ripped through the region, killing one person in North Little Rock and four people in Wynne, Coombes' quick thinking saved him from the worst.

The EF-3 tornado left a trail of destruction, with reported damage and debris scattered throughout the affected areas. The National Weather Service has confirmed that the storm reached EF-3 status on the Enhanced Fujita scale, indicating winds strong enough to cause significant damage.

Coombes' harrowing account offers a unique glimpse into the experience of riding out a tornado in a confined space, highlighting both the bravery required to stay safe and the importance of seeking shelter during severe weather events.

Wow 🤯, that's insane! I mean, who needs a superhero when you got your own van as a storm shelter? Cody Coombes is literally a real-life Spiderman 🕸️, just kidding (kinda). But seriously, that's some crazy stuff, dude. I'm so glad he made it out alive 💪. And can we talk about how prepared his van was? Pest control business and all 🐜. I mean, who knew that could be a lifesaver in a tornado? It's like something out of a movie (but hopefully never again). The EF-3 rating is no joke, 165 miles per hour is wild ⛈️. We can only imagine what he went through in those 10 minutes 🕰️. Good for him that he was able to stay calm and ride it out 👍.

I'm still shaking my head after reading about this dude Cody Coombes riding out that EF-3 tornado in his van 🤯... I mean, what are the chances?! He was just driving along with his pest control business, and then BAM! The storm hits. But seriously, it's crazy to think he had a solid 165mph winds whistling by outside while he was huddled away in his van. I guess you could say he was 'bugging' out of the danger zone 😂. On a serious note though, it just goes to show how quick thinking and preparedness can save your life. I've had my share of DIY escapades, but that's some next-level stuff right there! 🚨

OMG 🤯 this dude Cody Coombes is literally crazy! I mean, who rides out an EF-3 tornado in their van?! 💥 I'm just glad he made it out alive and got to share his story with CNN. That must've been SO scary 😱. The fact that the van was equipped with a pest control business, lol... seems like a weird thing to be in the middle of a tornado, but I guess when life gives you lemons, you make lemonade or something? 🍋💪

OMG that's insane 🤯! I mean can you even imagine being in a van with no roof or anything when a tornado is literally coming at you? That's some crazy stuff right there. Cody Coombes sounds like a total hero to me, I'm glad he was prepared and had a plan B (or in this case a pest control business 🐜) that saved him from getting hurt.

I think it's also really interesting how the National Weather Service confirmed the tornado was an EF-3, that's some serious weather stuff right there. And wow, four people lost their lives in Wynne, that's just heartbreaking 😔. I'm glad Cody made it out alive and sharing his story with CNN, it's definitely a harrowing experience that can help others learn from.

I wonder how the van held up under all those crazy winds, I bet it was shaking like crazy 🤯! Anyway, kudos to Cody for staying safe and sharing his story, it's definitely an unforgettable one.

I gotta say, that's crazy! 😲 I mean, who would've thought a van could be like, a safe haven from a tornado? Cody Coombes must've been totally focused and stuff to know exactly what to do. I'm not saying the National Weather Service didn't do their job or anything, but it's still wild that this guy managed to ride out an EF-3 without getting hurt too badly. I guess you could say he was prepared for that pest control business of his 🐜🚧... anyway, what a story!

OMG what an insane thing that guy Cody Coombes did 🤯 I mean, 165 miles per hour is CRAZY!!! I'm still trying to wrap my head around it 😲 how he was able to keep his van intact and stay safe is just mind-blowing. And can you believe he had a pest control business in there 🐜😂 like who needs that when tornadoes are coming? The thought of being trapped with all those insects is giving me the heebie-jeebies 😷 but at least Coombes was prepared and knew what to do.

I'm so impressed by his bravery though, I mean, most people would have freaked out big time 🤯💥. And it's crazy that one person lost their life in the tornado 😢. The damage must be huge too, I've seen videos of EF-3 tornadoes and they're just devastating 💔. This whole thing is a big reminder to always take severe weather warnings seriously and seek shelter ASAP ⛈️🚨

🤯 I cant even imagine being in that situation... my heart is still racing just thinking about it 😬. You know what's crazy though? That van of his was actually a pest control business 🐜! Who would've thought you'd find safety in the unlikeliest of places? It just goes to show how quick thinking can save your life, and I'm so grateful Cody Coombes was able to stay safe. 😌 Those tornadoes are no joke, but it's amazing how some people are able to stay calm under extreme pressure 💪.
