Man stabbed at Union Square subway station in fight with fellow rider, police say

A 45-year-old man suffered multiple stab wounds during a violent altercation at Manhattan's Union Square subway station on Wednesday morning. According to NYPD officials, the incident began as a dispute between two riders on an L train, which escalated into a physical confrontation.

The fight spilled out onto the platform, where officers responding to a 911 call found the victim with several stab wounds to his back. Despite being seriously injured, the man was transported to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition. The suspect allegedly fled the scene on the same L train, wearing a black coat.

Police have yet to make an arrest in connection with the incident, which is currently under investigation. While officials are reviewing evidence, they remain tight-lipped about the circumstances leading up to the dispute.

Ugh I'm still trying to process this... like what's going on with people these days? Can't we just get along? Anyway, it's crazy how something that starts as a normal morning commute can turn into a violent confrontation in seconds. And yeah, no one likes seeing someone get stabbed, but at least the victim is gonna be okay . OMG, what's goin' on with NYC lately?? I mean, I know crime can happen anywhere, but stabbing people on a subway platform? That's just crazy . Like, I've heard of fights breakin' out on trains before, but this is on another level. And the fact that the guy who got stabbed was able to survive, that's just insane.
