Detroit's own GRiZ to Headline Bonnaroo 2026

GRiZ, the saxophone-wielding DJ from Southfield, is set to represent Detroit at this summer's Bonnaroo Music & Arts Festival in Tennessee. The popular music festival announced its 2026 lineup on Tuesday, with GRiZ joining a stellar cast of national acts including the Strokes, Teddy Swims, Noah Kahan, Turnstile, and Kesha.

Scheduled to take the stage on Friday, June 11, GRiZ will deliver his signature "future-funk" sets, which have become a staple at EDM-centric music festivals. Born Grant Richard Kwiecinski, GRiZ has built a reputation for bringing high-energy performances that blend electronic dance music with live instrumentation.

Detroit's own Hot Mulligan and Snow Strippers will also be part of the festival lineup, representing the city alongside GRiZ. Meanwhile, tickets for Bonnaroo 2026 are set to go on sale at 10 a.m. this Friday, with fans eagerly anticipating their chance to experience the festival's eclectic mix of music and art.

To give back to his community, GRiZ will be hosting his annual "12 Days of GRiZMAS" holiday series, featuring live performances and charity events throughout Detroit. A portion of proceeds from these events will support local afterschool and summer camp programs for underprivileged children.

I don’t usually comment but I’m really stoked about GRiZ getting to headline Bonnaroo next year 🤩! He’s such a talented DJ and it’s awesome that he’s giving back to his community through the 12 Days of GRiZMAS thing. It’s so cool that a portion of those proceeds will go towards supporting local afterschool and summer camp programs for underprivileged kids ❤️. I think Detroit really deserves some love and it’s great to see one of its own getting global recognition 🎉. Plus, Hot Mulligan and Snow Strippers are part of the lineup too which is awesome! I'm stoked about GRiZ getting his due recognition on the national stage, but can we talk about the economic implications of a festival like Bonnaroo coming to our neck of the woods? I mean, have you seen the state of Michigan's infrastructure lately? We're still dealing with the aftermath of those auto industry shutdowns. Is it just me or does this feel like another example of the 'haves' and 'have nots'? On one hand, GRiZ is repping Detroit and bringing in some much-needed revenue for the city. But on the other hand, what about our local artists who aren't getting the same kind of exposure? It's all about priorities, folks... 🤑🎶
 
OMG 🤯, I'm so stoked for GRiZ! He's been killing it in the EDM scene for ages and his "future-funk" sets are always insane 💥. I remember seeing him live at Movement Detroit a few years ago and he totally brought the house down 🏠.
