Local Mother Arrested After Shocking Video Shows Toddler Falling from SUV in California

A mother has been arrested in Fullerton, California, after a disturbing video surfaced showing her 19-month-old child falling out of an SUV while she was driving. The footage captures the moment when the front passenger door of the vehicle opens and the toddler falls to the ground as it makes a left turn at an intersection.

Miraculously, the car behind the SUV nearly crashed into it due to its sudden stop. However, the woman involved in the incident jumped out of her vehicle, picked up the child, and got back in to drive away.

Police were alerted after a witness came forward with information about the incident on January 24, which had occurred on January 20. The witness's tip led investigators to locate the vehicle involved, as well as the woman and the child, at a home address.

Jacqueline Marie Hernandez, 35, was taken into custody on suspicion of child abuse after police discovered that her child sustained injuries consistent with falling from a height. The toddler is currently receiving treatment at an area hospital but is expected to make a full recovery.

The incident remains under investigation, and authorities are working to determine the circumstances surrounding the shocking video.
 
OMG, like, I'm still trying to process what just happened 🤯... that mom, Jacqueline Marie Hernandez, she's literally crazy! 😱 How could she just leave her toddler hanging out of an SUV while driving?!? 🚗😨 And then she has the nerve to get back in the car and drive away like nothing happened?!?! 😂 It's like, what kind of mom does that?!?! I'm just glad the kid is okay and getting treatment, but this whole thing is just wild 💥. Can you even imagine if the car behind her had crashed into them?!? 🚨😵 I need to know more about what happened before she got arrested, maybe there's some crazy backstory or something 🤔... anyway, this is definitely a shocking video that's been making the rounds on social media 📱💬.
 
🤯 I'm literally speechless right now! How can someone be so reckless and irresponsible with their own child's life? 🙅‍♀️ I mean, I get it, accidents happen, but this is just plain negligence. And what really gets me is that she got back in her car to drive away while the kid was still injured... like, what kind of parent does that?! 😱

I think what really bothers me is the fact that she's a mother herself and put her child in harm's way like that. It's just heartbreaking. I hope the little one is okay, but this whole situation has left me feeling so angry and concerned about how we can prevent these kinds of incidents from happening in the future. 💔
 
omg what kind of person jumps outta car w/ injured baby still in seatbelt?? 🤯😱 like she thought she could just leave her kid there or somethin? i dont get it... how did she even do that?? 🤔 and what if the car behind her didn't stop on time... woulda been a tragedy 🙅‍♀️ anyway, i hope the little one recovers soon and gets back to normal life... poor thing went thru trauma 😐
 
🤕 I'm so relieved the little one is okay, that's gotta be super scary for the parents. But how did she even get out of the car like that? It looks super reckless. And driving away with a hurt kid?! That just seems crazy. The police need to figure out why she didn't stop ASAP and call 911. I'm all for moms doing whatever it takes to keep their kids safe, but this is just not right. 😕
 
OMG 😱 this is like so crazy! I'm literally shaking thinking about that little kid falling from the SUV... how could someone be so reckless & put their child's life at risk? 🤯 35 yrs old mom, what were you thinking?! 🙄 And then for her to get back in the car and drive away after picking up her kid is just horrific. Thankfully the kid is okay and getting the treatment they need... fingers crossed for a speedy recovery 🤞

Ugh, what's wrong with these people? 🤯 Like, seriously, you're driving down the road, your kid is just chillin' in the backseat, and then BAM! The door opens and they fall out. It's not that hard to keep an eye on your kid, especially at 19 months old when they can literally walk around on their own 😂.

And what really takes the cake is that she gets back in her car and drives away like nothing happened. I mean, what kind of mom does that? 🚗😡. I'm glad the witness came forward because if no one had seen it, who knows how long this kid would've been on the ground.

Anyway, 35 years old is still pretty young to be having kids, and at 19 months old, they need so much more care than just being thrown around in a car. I'm glad the little guy is okay, but like, seriously, let's get it together as parents 🤷‍♀️.

omg can you believe this? i was just thinking about my cousin's kid who just learned how to ride a bike... i remember when my little sis did that for the first time she fell like 5 times before she got it right lol, glad that toddler is okay though 🙏. anyway, i wonder what possessed that mom to drive away with an injured kid in the car... and have you ever noticed how some people's brake lights are super dim? mine always seem to be like that when i'm driving behind someone 😂

I mean, can you even imagine being in that mom's shoes, knowing you've just put your toddler in harm's way like that? 😨 And not even bothering to stop and pick up your child after the door opens - what if that car had been going a lot faster?! It's just crazy to me how reckless some people are as drivers. I guess we can only hope for the best with the little one's recovery, but it's just so heartbreaking 🤕.
