In a harrowing incident that has sent shockwaves through the community, a 35-year-old woman was arrested after her 19-month-old child tumbled out of an SUV while she was driving in Fullerton, California. The gruesome scene unfolded on January 20 when the toddler, who weighs around 20 pounds, fell to the ground as their SUV made a left turn at an intersection.

Miraculously, the vehicle came to an immediate halt, preventing a potential collision with another car behind it. However, what followed was even more disturbing. The mother got out of the driver's side and hastily picked up her injured child before returning to the vehicle and continuing her drive away from the scene.

Fortunately, a witness reported the incident on January 24 and provided identifying information about the SUV, which led investigators to locate the vehicle and its occupants at a home. Jacqueline Marie Hernandez was taken into custody on suspicion of child abuse, while the toddler sustained injuries consistent with the fall and is expected to make a full recovery at an area hospital.

🤕 I'm literally shaking just thinking about that little one's near-death experience 😱. OMG, can u even imagine? 🤯 My little cousin has a 19-month-old cousin who went thru something super similar at school! She fell off the playground & luckily the swings were there to break her fall 😔 But it's really scary when parents aren't paying attention. I feel so bad for that mom, i hope she gets help. Schools should have more staff on ground, esp with all the new parents coming out 🤝
 
😒 What's wrong with these parents? I mean, i've seen some crazy stuff online but this takes the cake. Leaving a toddler unattended in an SUV while driving? as a parent myself i'm so angry but also kinda disappointed in this mom, we always teach our kids about safety and what not, and here is an example of how that can go wrong 😔 i hope she gets the help she needs though 'cause clearly something is wrong with her thought process that day...

🙄 can u believe this?! some ppl think driving w/ a toddler & just casually picking them up on the side of the road is A thing? 🤯 newsflash, it's not! i mean, what kinda mom gets outta her car, picks up their injured kid, & keeps driving like NO BIG DEAL?! 🚗😷 at least she didn't run over the kid or anything (fingers crossed). seriously though, 19-month-old toddlers don't exactly have a 'child seat' to keep them safe while they're in the car... so yeah, this is some serious negligence right here 😒
