Gunmen ambush pedestrians in Little Village, leaving a man dead and two others injured. The shooting occurred around 3 p.m. Saturday when three men were walking back to their vehicle after purchasing car parts at the 3100 block of South Saint Louis Avenue.
According to police reports, two masked gunmen jumped out of a silver Honda and opened fire before fleeing the scene. One suspect was dressed in all gray with a rifle, while another wore all black armed with a handgun. The victims were targeted without warning, leaving them no chance to defend themselves.
The shooting claimed the life of 35-year-old Devonsha Conquallin Collier from the Grand Boulevard neighborhood, who was shot multiple times and pronounced dead at 3:54 a.m. on Sunday. Two others, aged 39 and 42, were also injured with gunshot wounds to various parts of their bodies.
Police have collected evidence from the scene, including 33 rifle rounds and 24 nine-millimeter cartridges, but no arrests have been made as of Tuesday morning. The motive behind the ambush remains unclear, leaving authorities to investigate further.

this is so messed up like what's going on in Little Village? Every time something like this happens it feels like just another random shooting 
. I mean, they were just walking back from buying car parts... what did they do to deserve being shot multiple times? And the silver Honda, that was probably some low-key ride for those guys. Anyone have any info on the victims or the suspects? 
like what's wrong with these people? Can't they see they're putting innocent lives at risk? Devonsha was just a 35-year-old guy trying to get some car parts for his ride and now he's dead 
. And those two other guys who got shot, how are they supposed to recover from this trauma? The police have all the evidence they need but no leads yet, it's like they're stuck in limbo 
. I'm just so frustrated that we can't seem to stop these senseless shootings anymore. It feels like every time you turn around someone else is getting gunned down 
. We need some serious changes in our community, like more community policing and support for mental health programs. We need to come together as a society and say enough is enough 
. Can't we just live without all this violence? 
the fact that it was just 3 guys walking back from buying car parts who got ambushed is so senseless ugh I'm literally shaking thinking about how fast it happened and no one could even do anything to stop it

I mean, the police are on the scene, collecting evidence and trying to figure out what happened. That's already a huge step in solving the case and keeping people safe. And, you know, these guys were just minding their own biz, buying some car parts, when suddenly BAM! 
They got ambushed. But at least they're alive and getting the help they need. Devonsha Collier might not be with us anymore 
. So, let's focus on the good stuff and hope that justice will be served soon
