New memorial set up for 3 students who died in Piedmont Cybertruck crash 1 year ago this week

A year has passed since a devastating Cybertruck crash in Piedmont, California, took the lives of three college students and injured another. Soren Dixon, Krysta Tsukahara, and Jack Nelson were killed when the vehicle collided with a tree at high speed, an incident investigators say was caused by the driver's intoxication.

As Thanksgiving approaches, law enforcement is increasing DUI enforcement efforts in an effort to prevent similar tragedies. However, on this somber anniversary of the crash, tributes have been put in place to remember the three students who lost their lives.

A new memorial has been erected at the site of the accident, accompanied by permanently installed benches in public parks where friends and family can gather to reflect. These poignant reminders serve as a testament to the enduring impact of this tragedy on the community.

In the aftermath of such a traumatic event, it is heartening to see that efforts are being made to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving and prevent further loss of life.

The three students who lost their lives in the crash were remembered on Wednesday at the site of the accident, where tributes were put in place by friends, family and fellow students

man, it's crazy how much attention is being focused on DUI enforcement around Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ™…โ€โ™‚๏ธ. I mean don't get me wrong, it's great that people are trying to raise awareness about the dangers of drunk driving, but let's be real, Cybertruck doesn't even exist yet ๐Ÿ˜’. I'm still waiting for Elon to make good on his promises with that thing... meanwhile, it seems like we're just going through the motions again after some tragic accident ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ.

Ugh, I know it's been a year since that tragic Cybertruck crash, but come on, didn't we all learn our lesson after Elon Musk showed off that thing? ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ Like, what's the point of even having safety features if you're just gonna go to show it off? And now they're building a new memorial at the accident site... yeah, good for them, I guess. But can't we focus on finding ways to prevent these kinds of accidents in the first place instead of just remembering the dead and serving as a cautionary tale every year? ๐Ÿ™„

๐Ÿค• Still can't believe it's been a whole year since that crazy Cybertruck crash. It's so sad to think about those three college kids - Soren, Krysta, and Jack - they're really gone ๐Ÿ’”. I mean, who gets in a car after having a few too many drinks? It's just not worth the risk ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜ต. And can you believe it was all because of intoxication? So irresponsible ๐Ÿ™„.

I'm glad the community is coming together to remember them and make sure something like this never happens again ๐Ÿ’•. The new memorial at the accident site looks really nice, and those benches in public parks are such a good idea - I guess sometimes you gotta lose someone close before people start taking things seriously ๐Ÿ˜”.

It's just crazy that we're still seeing this stuff happen. Like, how many times do we have to learn about drunk driving? ๐Ÿคฏ Can't we just all be more careful and look out for each other? ๐Ÿ™

๐ŸŒซ๏ธ just been reading about the Cybertruck crash anniversary... sad to see 3 lives lost to drunk driving. ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜” permanent benches at the memorial are a nice touch tho ๐Ÿ‘ they're gonna be a constant reminder of how quickly life can change ๐Ÿ’€ and it's so important for us to take extra precautions on Thanksgiving ๐Ÿ™

just saw this news about the anniversary of that crazy cybertruck crash ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜ฑ can't believe it's been a year already... so sad to think about those three students who lost their lives ๐Ÿ’” it's always scary when you hear about people being involved in drunk driving accidents, can be super sobering for everyone around them ๐Ÿค• thankfully there are efforts going into raising awareness and making sure these kinds of tragedies don't happen again ๐Ÿ’ช

omg ๐Ÿคฏ just thinking about that crash is giving me chills ๐Ÿ˜ฑ it's so sad that 3 innocent college kids had to lose their lives like that ๐Ÿ’” still can't believe they're not here with us anymore ๐Ÿ™ their memory should be forever remembered ๐Ÿ•ฐ๏ธ and those DUI enforcement efforts are super necessary ๐Ÿ‘ฎโ€โ™‚๏ธ safety first always โš ๏ธ happy thanksgiving to the families & friends of Soren, Krysta, and Jack ๐Ÿฝ๏ธ may they rest in peace ๐Ÿ’–

.. just had that Cybertruck thingy on my mind again ๐Ÿค” I mean, it's crazy how tech can go from being all cool and innovative to a recipe for disaster ๐Ÿ’ฃ Still can't believe what happened with those three students... a year on, it's still hard to process. And now they're building more memorials? It's just another reminder that no matter how much we advance as humans, we can't seem to get rid of our reckless side ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ At least the authorities are trying to raise awareness about drunk driving though... fingers crossed it makes a difference this time ๐Ÿ‘

Man, this Cybertruck crash is still so sad ๐Ÿ˜”... a year has passed but it feels like just yesterday they were driving away from the park... it's crazy how things can change so fast ๐Ÿ’ฅ. I'm all for increased DUI enforcement efforts tho, it's like, we should all be looking out for each other on the roads ๐Ÿš—. It's beautiful to see these tributes going up in memory of Soren, Krysta, and Jack... they were just living their lives, enjoying college and all that ๐ŸŽ“. We gotta keep raising awareness about drunk driving, it's a serious issue that affects way more people than we think ๐Ÿšซ.

I'm all for more surveillance cameras in public places, especially around highways ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ”, not less. Those poor kids' lives were cut short because of someone's reckless decision to get behind the wheel after a few too many drinks. We should be doing everything we can to prevent this kind of tragedy from happening again, not just relying on increased DUI enforcement efforts. And what's with all these new memorials and benches? They're great, but they shouldn't just sit there โ€“ let's make it a point to educate people about the dangers of drunk driving so they don't become statistics in the first place ๐Ÿ’ก

Can you believe it's been a whole year since that tragic Cybertruck crash? It feels like just yesterday I was reading about those three college kids who lost their lives. ๐Ÿ’” Now they've got these new benches at the accident site where people can go to remember them, it's really beautiful but also kinda heartbreaking thinking about how their friends and family are still dealing with the loss. And it's great that law enforcement is cracking down on DUIs now, I mean we've all seen those crazy YouTube videos of Tesla owners speeding around... ๐Ÿ˜‚ anyway, these tributes are a good reminder to always stay safe on the roads, especially during holidays like Thanksgiving when people are already feeling festive and might not be paying attention as much.

Man, it's crazy how a year has passed since that devastating Cybertruck crash ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜ฑ. You'd think people would've learned from it by now. I mean, drunk driving is just so senseless & devastating for the families involved ๐Ÿ’”. It's great to see law enforcement cracking down on DUIs, but what really gets me is how the community came together to create a memorial for the three students ๐ŸŒณ๐Ÿ’•. It's a reminder that even though we can't bring them back, their memories will live on & we should keep striving to make our roads safer ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ‘. And can we talk about the importance of taking care of ourselves during holidays like Thanksgiving? Let's all try to be more mindful of our drink limits and prioritize our own well-being ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿ’†โ€โ™€๏ธ.

๐Ÿค• it's crazy how a year has passed since that devastating Cybertruck crash and yet we're still dealing with the aftermath. three young lives lost to drunk driving, it's just heartbreaking ๐Ÿ™. i feel like we're making progress on awareness but it's still not enough, more needs to be done to prevent these tragedies from happening in the first place ๐Ÿšซ. those tributes at the memorial site are really beautiful, it's nice to see a community come together to remember and honor the victims ๐Ÿ’•. maybe we can learn something from this tragedy to make our roads safer for everyone ๐ŸŒŸ

man, cybertruck is still out there on the roads... ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ˜’ i mean, i know it's gotta be good for safety and all that, but what's with the design? it looks like a flying saucer crashed into a tree lol. anyway, happy thanksgiving to everyone, let's hope we can stay safe on the roads and not become victims of drunk driving ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’จ

omg dont 4get abt soren krysta & jack they were all so young n full of life u feel me? its been a yr since that awful crash nd ppl are still gettin their lives back 2 normal but lets be real DUI laws rnt always enuf lawmkrz need 2 step up there game n make sure everyone's safe on the roads especially on holidays like thanksgiving

๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ I don't know how many times we gotta learn this but DUIs are a major deal. Like, yeah, it's super sad that these 3 kids lost their lives but can't we just assume everyone's gonna be responsible behind the wheel? I mean, come on, we're living in 2025, we should've gotten way more advanced at this whole "not killing ourselves" thing. And now they're putting up a new memorial...like, what took you guys so long to get it together? ๐Ÿ’”

omg thats still so sad ๐Ÿ˜” i remember when that truck crashed it was all over the news and people were talking about how tesla should've tested that thing before releasing it to public ๐Ÿคฆโ€โ™‚๏ธ anyway idk what's the deal with dui enforcement now they're doing that around thanksgiving time but like shouldn't we always be driving safely? it's just so frustrating that these students had to die ๐Ÿ™ and i love how the community is coming together to remember them but also raising awareness about drunk driving ๐Ÿ’ก

can you believe it's been a year since that tragic Cybertruck crash? ๐Ÿ’” it's crazy to think about how fast time flies, especially when it comes to something as devastating as that. i feel like just yesterday we were hearing about the news and now tributes are being put up all over the place in memory of those three students ๐Ÿ™. it's amazing to see the community coming together like this, with a new memorial and benches in public parks where people can go to reflect. ๐Ÿ’• on a more somber note, i'm glad that law enforcement is cracking down on DUIs as we head into the holidays. safety always comes first ๐Ÿš—๐Ÿ’จ

๐Ÿค” I mean, it's great that they're putting up a memorial and benches for the victims, but have we ever seen any real changes or laws being implemented to prevent similar incidents? Like, are there any specific numbers on how many people are getting caught for DUI and what kind of penalties they're facing? Or is this just another "awareness" campaign without any tangible results? ๐Ÿคทโ€โ™‚๏ธ
