K-pop record label Ador has filed a lawsuit against former NewJeans member Danielle Marsh, alleging millions of dollars in damages. The lawsuit comes after the group's members made headlines last year by announcing their departure from Ador following a bitter dispute that saw allegations of mistreatment and attempts to leave their contract.
According to reports, Ador is seeking nearly $30 million in compensation from Danielle, as well as an unnamed family member and former producer Min Hee-jin. The label claims the trio had significant responsibility for causing the dispute and NewJeans' departure, which has led to a delay in their return.
Danielle, 20, was born in Australia but joined Ador after training at one of the country's prominent idol boot camps. She claimed she was constantly surveilled and had meals approved by management while training. However, Ador denies these allegations.
The dispute began when NewJeans' members alleged they were subjected to "deliberate miscommunications and manipulation" while working with Ador. Vietnamese-Australian band member Hanni Pham testified before South Korea's parliament, saying she felt bullied and harassed in the workplace.
However, a Seoul district court recently ruled that NewJeans' five members must honour their contracts with Ador until 2029. Only three of the group's four remaining members, Hyein and Haerin, will be returning to Ador. However, it appears that Danielle will not be joining them, as she has been removed from the group following a year-long dispute with the label.

Plus, I'm not buying the whole "she was constantly surveilled" thing... sounds like some pretty serious drama going on behind the scenes. And what about Hanni Pham's testimony? Is she just trying to get in good with Ador again or something? 
Anyway, I think this lawsuit is gonna be a wild ride and might not end up in Ador's favor...

i mean idk what's going on with this kpop drama but it seems so unfair. i feel bad for danielle and her fam she was just trying to speak up about the mistreatment she experienced in training and now ador is dragging her through court. 
. But at the same time, I'm not surprised that only three members are returning to Ador - Danielle's definitely been on thin ice since she filed that lawsuit
