NYPD charges man with murder after Bronx bar stabbing

A Bronx man has been slapped with murder charges in connection with a fatal stabbing that took place outside a local bar over the weekend. Cristian Moya, 28, of Kingsbridge Terrace, is accused of waging a deadly attack on 35-year-old Pamela Almonte Cabrera, who was trying to break up a fight between Moya and his boyfriend.

Eyewitnesses report that the violent altercation began after a dispute inside Mama Dora Bar and Lounge spilled onto the sidewalk. According to authorities, Almonte Cabrera attempted to intervene in the scuffle, but was brutally stabbed multiple times with a small knife. Her lifeless body was taken to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to Lincoln Hospital, where she succumbed to her injuries.

Two days after the incident, police tracked down Moya and arrested him at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Miraculously, his boyfriend did not face any charges in connection with the violent incident, according to police officials. The suspect is now facing multiple serious allegations, including murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a deadly weapon.

As Moya awaits arraignment on Wednesday, his lawyer's information remains unclear. Meanwhile, the family and friends of Almonte Cabrera are left grappling with the devastating reality of her senseless passing, which will undoubtedly have a lasting impact on their lives forever.

🤕 this is so sad, like what was he thinking attacking someone who just wanted to break up the fight? 🤯 and his bf didn't even get charged for it? that's messed up 💔 almonte cabrera deserved better, her family and friends are going through hell right now 😩

man... this whole thing is just so messed up 🤕... i mean, imagine being in the middle of a bar fight, trying to break it up for someone, and then BAM! you're stabbed like 10 times. it's just so senseless... and the fact that his boyfriend didn't even get charged, it's like, what even is that? is it because he was the victim or something? i don't get it. and now moya's facing all these charges, murder, manslaughter... it's a lot to take in. you'd think that everyone involved would be held accountable for their actions. does that just balance out karma or something? anyway, my thoughts are with almonte cabrera's family and friends right now... they're gonna have to live with this pain for a long time 💔

Ugh 🤕, this is just great... another violent crime in the city that'll probably never be solved. I mean, who lets some guy stab someone to death outside a bar? It's like he was just looking for an excuse to go all psycho 😬. And now the victim's family has to deal with this senseless tragedy, it's just heartbreaking 💔. I'm not surprised they didn't press charges against the boyfriend though, that's what usually happens in cases like these 🤷‍♂️. The system's all about covering up for people who are "victims" of circumstances, you know? Anyway, Moya's gonna get a slap on the wrist and be out free in no time... meanwhile Almonte Cabrera gets to rest in peace 💀.

I'm still trying to wrap my head around this one 🤯. It's crazy how violent things can escalate so quickly, especially when people think they're just breaking up a fight 💔. I mean, I get it, Cristian Moya was upset and Pamela Almonte Cabrera was just trying to do the right thing... but stabbing someone multiple times? That's just not okay 😡. The fact that his boyfriend didn't face any charges is weird too - did he know about the fight beforehand or what? 🤔 Either way, this incident has left a ton of people feeling shocked and hurt 💔.

It's always super scary to hear about these types of incidents happening in our own neighborhoods, you know? It's like we're living next door to someone who could potentially become a threat to us at any moment 😳. Anyway, I'm sure this is going to be all over the news soon and it'll be interesting to see how Cristian Moya's trial plays out 📰. Fingers crossed he gets a fair shake and takes responsibility for his actions 💯.

😞 this whole situation is just heartbreaking it's crazy how one person's anger can lead to such a tragic outcome i mean i get that people fight and all but stabbing someone in the process? that's just not right and now this poor woman's family has to deal with the emotional pain of losing her to senseless violence 🤕

and what really gets me is that his boyfriend didn't even face charges like what even is that supposed to say? that you're more valuable than the person who got stabbed? it's just not right 💔

I don't think it's fair to say that Moya's boyfriend was "miraculously" not charged... I mean, what if he was trying to protect himself from getting hurt in all that chaos? 🤔 But at the same time, didn't he kind of stand by and watch his boyfriend get into a fight and then try to break it up? Shouldn't he be held accountable too, right? And on the other hand, maybe Moya was just having a really bad day and lost control for a split second... who knows what really went down? 🤷‍♂️

Ugh, this is just great... some dude gets all twisted up over a fight at a bar and ends up stabbing someone to death. And get this, his BF doesn't even face charges? Like, what's wrong with the justice system here? 🤦‍♂️ It's like they're looking the other way or something. And now Cristian Moya gets to just chill in jail while he waits for his arraignment... meanwhile, the victim's family is left to pick up the pieces of their lives and deal with the trauma of what happened. This whole thing is just so messed up 💔

omg can you believe this guy gets to live while his bae gets beat up and almost dies 🤯 like what even is that? anyway, i guess it's good they caught him so now we get to see how far the justice system will take this case...and by "justice system" i mean whether or not he'll actually do some real time 💸

man this is like that movie scarface but real life its just heartbreaking what happened to that girl tryna break up the fight she didn't deserve to die her boyfriend wasnt even charged thats messed up moya's lawyer needs to get his act together ASAP he's not gonna be able to get a good defense if he doesn't start talking soon.
