One of China’s most popular apps has the ability to spy on its users, say experts | CNN Business

omg u guys can u believe this?! 🤯 so pinduoduo had malware in their app and they didn't even know about it themselves lol what's going on with chinese companies and tech? 🤔 i feel bad for all the people who got affected by this exploit like where were the regulators when this was happening?? 🚨 shouldn't they be keeping an eye on these big tech companies more closely? 🤷‍♀️ anyways, glad pinduoduo finally took action after it was reported by dark navy 😊 and hopefully this will lead to some real changes in how cybersecurity is handled in china 💻

I'm pretty concerned about this whole thing 🤔. I mean, it's just crazy that a popular app like Pinduoduo could be harboring such malicious code without anyone noticing 🚨. And what's even more alarming is that the regulators didn't seem to catch on initially 👀. It's almost as if they were in denial or didn't have the technical expertise to understand the complexity of the issue 💻.

I think this highlights the need for stricter regulations and more transparency from companies like Pinduoduo 📊. We can't just rely on cybersecurity firms to sniff out these issues; we need a multi-layered approach that includes human oversight and accountability 👥. And what's worrying is that if regulators aren't equipped to handle this, who will be? The public's trust in tech companies has already been eroded, and this kind of incident only serves to accelerate that erosion 🤖.

I'm so freakin worried about our online safety 🤯! I mean, this is some serious stuff. Malware in a popular shopping app? That's just gross 😷. And what's even crazier is that it was able to access all sorts of sensitive info without users even knowing 🤫. It's like, how did this even happen? 🤔

And you know what really gets me is that the company didn't even try to hide the exploit themselves... they just kinda left it up to some Chinese cybersecurity firm to report back to them 😅. I mean, come on! Can't we expect more from our tech giants? 🙄

But seriously, this raises so many questions about regulatory oversight and cybersecurity in China. Are they really doing enough to protect users' data? 🤔 It's like, we're all just sitting ducks online... 😱

OMG u guys I'm literally shaking rn 😱 I just found out that my fave shopping app Pinduoduo has malware 🤖😷 like what even is that?! So apparently they were able to access all our sensitive info without us even knowing 🙈 it's so creepy I feel like I need to start using Signal or something 📲 anyway I'm totally freaked out about this and I think we should all be, like, super careful when using apps from China right now 💡
