I mean, think about it... we're so drawn to this stuff - true crime docos, serial killer stories, that kinda thing...

It's like we wanna know the dark secrets of humanity, but at what cost?

I get why creators do it, trying to spark a conversation, all that jazz... but do we really need to sensationalize these cases? Can't we just focus on the human side of things, without all the gratuitous gore and drama?

And don't even get me started on how this whole 'Netflix-ization of real pain' thing is affecting our society... I mean, it's a good point that it can bring attention to these crimes, but what about the victims and their families? Don't they deserve more than just 45 minutes of screen time?

It's like we're just gluttons for punishment or something. Can't we move on from all this darkness?
