This team thinks he's a fan favorite but really he's just been lucky ...I mean, 114 OPS+ this season? Not bad for a guy who can't even play defense properly ...anyway, if they're gonna trade him for someone like Bader, that's not a bad move either...Bader's numbers were way better and he didn't have to rely on luck
I don't know how much more of this I can take Philly fans are already losing their favorite players like Harper and Hoskins, now it seems like Marsh's time is up too? His personality was definitely something to love, but his performance has been inconsistent at best... I mean, 114 OPS+ is nice and all, but that defense in center field was a major letdown. It's not just about the stats either, it's about what fans are used to seeing from their players. If they're considering trading him for Bader, who outhit Marsh this season, it's gotta be because they think they can get more out of him. But at what cost? The Phillies have a lot of talent on that team and it would be a shame to see them waste it by trading away someone like Marsh. I guess we'll just have to wait and see what the offseason brings...
I'm kinda surprised if the Phillies consider trading Marsh, he's always been good for energy at the ballpark . Don't get me wrong, his defense has been a problem, but I think you can still rely on him to come through when it matters most . Maybe they're looking for someone who can offer more consistency in center field? Either way, I'm not sure what the market is going to do with Marsh's trade value - if teams are willing to give up a lot just to get him, then I guess he's worth it .
OMG I'm literally shaking right now thinking about Brandon Marsh being traded... I mean, he's been such a staple for the team, but I guess his inconsistency is a bit too much to handle. I love how much energy he brings to the game, and that beard of his is just the best ! But, at the same time, you gotta be realistic - 1.7 bWAR in center field isn't exactly going to get him on the All-Star team .
I'm really hoping they don't trade him away because I think he'd thrive with a change of scenery... maybe somewhere like St. Louis? But if they do, it's gotta be for someone like Harrison Bader who can bring some much-needed stability to center field . Can't wait to see what the offseason brings!
