Plex’s crackdown on free remote streaming access starts this week

omg i know some ppl r gonna freak out about this new rule but like, think about it... plex is making an effort to stay profitable & that means they can invest more in features & devs r getting paid also, the price hike last year was kinda justified considering all the extra work they put into updating the app & adding new features so let's not be too harsh on them besides, common sense media integration is a pretty cool feature and that server management app sounds super useful for ppl who use plex as a media server overall, i think this change is just an opportunity for plex to get more users & subscribers & make the platform even better

just got the deets on plex's new rules so yeah i'm lowkey stoked about this... like, who doesn't want more features right? common sense media integration sounds like a total game changer for parents and all that jazz. and having a server management app is gonna make my life so much easier gotta say, the $7 a month price tag is still pretty reasonable imo can't wait to see what plex comes up with next

I mean, I get why Plex is doing this... They need to make some cash right? But I'm not so sure about it. I've been using Plex for ages and I just got used to the free model... It's a bit annoying that they're forcing us to pay now. But at the same time, I guess it makes sense. They do have these new features coming out and I've heard they're pretty cool...
